The meeting took place at the Executive Committee on Alexey Komlev's birthday – today the colonel celebrates his centenary. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated the veteran of the World War II on a remarkable date and talked with his family.
«On such a sunny day, our dear Kazan citizen turns 100 years old. I have meetings with centenarian residents of Kazan not so often. I'm glad you came with your family. I wish you good health and well-being. I would like centennial anniversaries in our family center to be celebrated more often», – Ilsur Metshin addressed the veteran.
Alexey Komlev, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Mayor for the wishes. «Ilsur Raisovich, I want to thank you very much for your attention and care. I was awarded the title of “Honorary Citizen of Kazan” on your behalf», – the veteran said.
«Alexey Nikolaevich, I want to thank you for your great work. Besides the fact that you have devoted your whole life to serving the Homeland, I want to thank you for the great work that you are doing to educate our youth in the city, at all events,», – the Mayor expressed gratitude.
The head of Kazan asked the veteran to share his secret of longevity. Alexey Komlev leads an active lifestyle, practice sports every day, and likes to go fishing. Besides, he is a fan of HC Ak Bars and FC Rubin. Despite his age, Alexey Komlev still drives a car.
Alexey Nikolaevich Komlev was awarded the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Patriotic War of the First degree, the medals «For Victory over Germany», the medal «For Services to the Republic of Tatarstan» (2019), the medals «For Valiant Labor» (2018) and «100 years of the formation of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic» (2022), and also commemorative awards for the anniversary of the Great Victory.
