(KZN.RU,
May 30, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). On June 1, the first in Kazan municipal cinema
with 3D will open in the cultural and leisure complex named after Lenin (CLC
Lenin). It will become a platform for the cinema club of the Tatar cinema,
where commercial films and festival pictures will be shown. Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, inspected the readiness of the cinema hall equipped with the
latest technology.
The CLC Lenin opened after a major overhaul at the end of last year. Now
it has a modern cinema. The cinema, like the whole building, is designed in the
style of Soviet neoclassicism and the Stalin Empire. It decorated with the
columns with pennants “The winner in the socialist competition” and “The collective
of communist labor”. At the entrance to the cinema hall, there is a large panel
“Cinema of the past, present, future” with a portrait of Vladimir Lenin.
Ilsur Metshin became the first visitor to the cinema. He received a
ticket at the ticket office and then went to the hall. The Mayor highly
appreciated the level of repair work carried out and the equipment of the first
municipal cinema in Kazan.
“It's good to know that Kazan has a new cinema theater of this level by
soundproofing and special effects. And it is very symbolic that it is located
in the CLC Lenin”, said the Mayor of Kazan after watching the video showing the
possibilities of the cinema equipment.
The cinema will officially open on June 1. “On the Children's Day, we
will organize a major event “Kinoluchik” together with the charitable fund
“Alpari”. 200 people are invited to attend it: children with disabilities and
those in a difficult life situation”, said Natalia Ilyasova, the director of
the CLC Lenin. On the same day, the first commercial show will be in the
cinema. In the evening, two sessions of the animated film “Sadko” and one of
the family comedy “Show Dogs” are scheduled. These films were included in the
repertoire of the cinema.
From 3 to 8 of June, there will be casting of actors for the film
“Zuleikha opens her eyes” based on the book of the same name by Guzel Yakhina.
“This is not an easy project, but we are managing. The creators of the film are
looking for Murtaza and Upyriha. Both roles are very characteristic”, Albina
Nafigova, the director of the forum “Time of Cinema”, explained to the Mayor of
Kazan. The cinema in the CLC Lenin will become a venue for watching films that
do not go on a wide lease. Cinematographers can present their work and discuss
them with the audience.
Afterward, Ilsur Metshin went further along the building. In the hall,
he spoke with the participants of the project “Zhiznelub” and examined the
assembly hall. The Mayor also got acquainted with the small participants of the
folk dance ensemble “Forsage”. Ilsur Metshin told that when he was a child, he
was fond of playing accordion, guitar, hockey, and football, and wished the
children to succeed in their work.
He visited the improvised exhibition of artifacts from the Soviet past
in one of the halls. He proposed to create a permanent exhibition. “It is very
good that there are such rare things that are associated with the era. It is
important to show our children what we grew up on”, said Ilsur Metshin. “It is
necessary to do exactly what is connected with the CLC Lenin and with the era,
to show badges, pioneer ties, drums, various bags”.
After inspecting the site in the yard, he instructed the administration
of complex to involve catering establishments in cooperation, as they make
cultural institutions and public spaces attractive to the citizens.
Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee,
Azat Abzalov, the head of the Kazan Department of Culture, and Timur Alibaev,
the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administration,
also took part in the event.
