Ilsur Metshin and Artem Khokhorin opened a new building of the police department “Moskovsky”

(KZN.RU, May 28, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Personnel of the police department №5 “Moskovsky” began to work at a new address. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, and Artem Khokhhorin, Lieutenant-General, the Interior Minister of the RT, took part in the opening of the renovated premises at Saban Street, №7.

On the territory of the police department №5 “Moskovsky” there are 5 strongholds of order, it serves 74 thousand people, 280 houses, 14 schools and 17 kindergartens. Its staff is 99 employees and 2 civilian specialists. The repair on the new place began in November 2017. The cost of works is estimated at 17 million rubles, funding was made from the federal budget. Employees of police department №5 “Moskovsky” have already started to work.

“The idea of resettlement of the police department “Moskovsky” was born a long time ago. We were trying to build a separate building but the construction was stopped due to the financing difficulties”, Artem Khokhhorin, the Interior Minister of the RT, told during the opening ceremony of the building. “I am grateful to the court that they built a new building and gave us the opportunity to use the former building. Today we have the opportunity to transfer the staff to completely different conditions as the police department. I am sure that the department will start working even better in these conditions”.

He added that the creation of comfortable working conditions for the personnel is a serious guarantee of further successful work. It was possible to do this thanks to the support of the city administration. “This year, through the efforts of the federal center, the republican authorities, the Kazan Municipality, we are moving the fourth department in total. Next one in the near future is the police department “Savinovo”, said the minister and thanked the Mayor of Kazan.

Ilsur Metshin noted that the new premises of the police department opened on the eve of such a significant event for the city as the World Cup-2018. He shared his pride in the work of the Kazan police. “This is our systemic collaboration. We understand the importance of the service that the personnel carry professionally with honor, with love to the city and its inhabitants. Year after year, thanks to you, we live in one of the safest cities in Russia and hold such important events as the Universiade, the championship of water sports and the World Cup”, said the Mayor. “The staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is the face of the city. The city start with you, with your hospitality, your courtesy. I am proud that our staff showed themselves as professionals at all events”. As a gift, he gave a certificate for the purchase of computer equipment to Ilyas Nurgaleev, Colonel of Police, the head of the police department №5 “Moskovsky”.

Ilsur Metshin inspected the premises of the department: the applicant's room, the premises of the duty unit, the premises for work with the delivered, the meeting room, the investigation department offices, the interrogation unit, and the detainees' room.

Rafil Nugumanov, the deputy chairman of the State Council of the RT on Law and Order and Law Enforcement, and Alexey Sokolov, the head of the Russian Interior Ministry Department for Kazan, Sariya Saburskaya, the commissioner in Human Rights in the RT, and Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administration, and others took part in the event and the inspection of the new building of the police department.
