Kazan teachers are recognized as the best in the republic by the results of the contest “Teacher of the Year”

(KZN.RU, March 19). The solemn ceremony of awarding winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year” was held on March 16. Kazan teachers won 5 prizes, another 10 teachers and educators became laureates. Ilnar Khidiyatov, the head of the Department of Education of the Executive Committee, spoke about the results of the last competition today at the Business Monday.

In total, 56 teachers participated in the regional stage, 21 of them from Kazan. The competition was held in several nominations: “Subject Teacher”, “Pedagogical debut”, “Teacher of the Tatar language and literature”, and “Teacher of pre-school institutions”.

Teachers from the kindergarten №387 of Moscow and №380 of the Novo-Savinovsky districts became laureates in the nomination “Teacher of preschool institutions”. Anastasia Shergina, a music director of the kindergarten №177 of the Sovetsky district, took the second place.

Teachers from the gymnasium №27 of Vakhitovsky District, the lyceum №159 of the Sovetsky district, schools №71 and №170 of the Novo-Savinovsky district became laureates in the nomination “Best Teacher of the Tatar Language and Literature”. The first place in the nomination was occupied by Ilmira Absmalamova, a teacher of the school №39 of the Vakhitovsky district.

The biology teacher of the gymnasium №139 of the Privolzhsky district became the laureate in the nomination “Pedagogical debut”, Elvina Bekmurzaeva, a history teacher of the lyceum №121 of the Sovetsky district, took the third place, and Evgeny Lobanov, the history teacher of the gymnasium №19 of the Privolzhsky district, took the second one.

The teachers of the school №98 in the Vakhitovsky district, the gymnasium № 19 in the Privolzhsky district, the gymnasium №122 in the Moskovsky district were the laureates in the nomination “Teacher of the Year”. Radik Khabirov, a physics teacher of the gymnasium №1 of the Vakhitovsky district, was recognized as the absolute winner of the competition.

“Starting from 2010, the winners of the city competition “Teacher of the Year” in various nominations became winners of the regional stage and represented our republic in Russia with dignity. Today a new stage of creative work starts not only for our participants but also for the education system of the city”, said Ilnar Khidiyatov and reminded that the absolute winner Radik Khabirov will have to defend the republic's honor at the all-Russian stage of the contest “Teacher of the Year”, which will be held in St. Petersburg in autumn.

Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, noted that often Kazan teachers take the second or third place in the city stage of the competition and at the same time they win on in the republic ones. According to the head of the city, this indicates the high competitiveness and level of training of the capital's teachers. “Kazan teachers annually confirm their professionalism at republican, Russian, and international competitions. Choosing the best of them is hard work for the commission. They all are the brightest teachers, young, creative, interesting, loving their profession. I am very glad that our teacher became the best teacher of the year in the republic”, said the Mayor and wished the teachers success in their work.
