Kazan funds were among the winners of the republican contest “Philanthropist of the Year-2017”

(KZN.RU, March 16). The winners of the republican contest “Philanthropist of the Year-2017” were awarded today at the Great State Concert Hall named after S. Saidashev. Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, thanked the companies, funds, and particular concerned citizens for their help in solving many social problems.

The Republican Council on Charitable Activities holds the competition annually. Over the past 11 years, 2062 large, medium, and small business entities, non-profit organizations, individual entrepreneurship, charitable funds, the media, and individuals took part in it. The total amount of donations of participants of the competition “Philanthropist of the Year” exceeds 35 billion rubles, reports the press service of the President of the RT.

Opening the ceremony of awarding, Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the competition became traditional for the republic. He thanked the benefactors who help in the implementation of large-scale and smaller but very important projects. For example, work was carried out with their support in the ancient city of Bolgar, on the island of Sviyazhsk, the cathedral of the Our Lady of Kazan is being restored, and programs for helping children are being implemented. “We highly appreciate this movement. We should always celebrate the activities of both companies and people who want to do something better not only for themselves but also for those who are near”, said the head of the republic. “There are things that are solved at the country level, these are federal tasks. Many things are solved at the level of the republic, our municipalities. Those issues that cannot be solved only at the expense of the budget are solved thanks to our initiative companies and our benefactors”.

He thanked not only philanthropists but also clergymen, who are engaged in preserving spirituality and morality, as well as families with many children who are the pledge of the future of the republic, and then proceeded to the awarding. Almir Mikheev was noted in the nomination “Citizen-benefactor”, who actively supports the initiatives of the project “Good Kazan”, Diana Schmidt, the co-organizer of the charity market “Yardem Bazaar”, Rustam Ramazanov, the initiator and co-investor of the project "Good Food”, the initiator and organizer of the landing of the Alley of Deputies in the park “Sosnovaya Roscha”, Alsu Zyabbarova, the partner of the forum “Good Kazan”, as well as an employee of the charitable fund “Zakyat”, a participant of the project “Good Kazan”.

The winners in the nomination “Large and medium-sized enterprises, organizations” were the production association “Zarnitsa”, the MUP “PATP №2”, “Setevaya Kompaniya”, and others. Diplomas were presented to their representatives by Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Counselor of the RT. In his speech, he reminded that the motto of the charitable movement in Tatarstan is the phrase “From the heart and soul!”. “Time passes quickly, we are changing. We said that we ourselves will like that we are doing charity work. This makes us better”, he said. “I express my gratitude to all philanthropists”.

The company “ArStroy” from Naberezhnye Chelny, which is a co-investor of the project “Good Food”, won in the category “Small Business Enterprises” among other Tatarstan companies. Diplomas in the nomination “Charitable Funds” went to the partners of the project “Good Kazan”: the charitable fund for helping children and adults “V Tvoyu Polzu”, the charitable fund “Alpari”, charitable fund for support of the younger generation and social initiatives “Blagodarenie”, the charitable fund for saving seriously ill children “Liniya Zhizny”, and the charitable fund “Ak Bars Creation”. Winners were also awarded in the nominations “Individual Entrepreneurs”, “Non-profit organizations”, and “Mass media”.

Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of the State Council of the RT, Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Office of the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Marat Sadykov, the minister of Health of the RT, and others also took part in the event.
