Public transport of Kazan transported 257.3 million passengers in 2017

Kazan citizens have 59 bus, 6 tram, 11 trolleybus routes, and 1 metro line, which consists of 10 stations. Aidar Abdulkhakov, the chairman of the Committee on Transport, quoted such data on the annual report to Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.

He said that the absolute leader among the public transport is the bus, 74.6% of passengers used it. The metro is on the second place (10.2%), the trolleybus is on the third one (8.7%). The tram transported 6.5% of the total number of passengers. According to A. Abdulkhakov, only the 5 tramway route is used by 27.5 thousand people every day.

The entire rolling stock of land transport is included in a single automated dispatching system for urban land transport. 233 placards are installed at 265 stops in the city, including those operating on both sides. 55 of them have a button for calling sound information.

You can pay for transportation fare by cards. 1260 thousand electronic tickets and 357.6 thousand single social travel tickets were issued last year. This is an increase of 4% and 8.8% respectively. The number of replenishment points decreased from 770 to 749.

Meanwhile, Kazan lacks 418 drivers. There was a 1982 driver in 2016, and in 2017, there were already 1760, that is, the turnover has reached 11.2%. Salary grew by an average of 10% for the year. Now Kazan drivers receive from 29.5 thousand to 40.2 thousand rubles depending on the enterprise. According to A. Abdulkhakov, private carriers have a decrease in the number of drivers. People leave, while drivers at the municipal unitary enterprises are trained on the basis of their own driving schools and the number of drivers has slightly increased.
