I. Metshin announced plans for the construction of a swimming pool in the micro-district Zhilploschadka

(KZN.RU, February 21). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed to work out the issue of allocating a land for the construction of the adult branch of the hospice today at a meeting with the activists of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts of the city. Vladimir Vavilov, the creator of the Kazan hospice and the chairman of the board of the Angela Vavilova Fund, addressed the head of the city with such a request at the meeting.

He reminded that the hospice, located on the territory of the Moskovsky district, has been operating for 6 years, and the hospital has been operating for 4 years. Vladimir Vavilov noted that now there are 35 beds in the hospital: 18 beds in the adult department and 17 ones in the children department. “This is too few for such a metropolis as Kazan”, believes the hospice creator. “And I'm ashamed to say, but there are only 21 hospices in Russia. For example, there are 144 hospices in Bavaria, the whole territory of which is like our Tatarstan”.

According to V. Vavilov, it is necessary to build an adult department for 80 beds. “There is a land near the hospice. Please give us the plot of 1.5 hectares. We will build a hospital by the forces of the public, we won’t ask the republic for money”, he said.

“Undoubtedly, we will solve this issue”, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, assured. He instructed Sergey Mironov, the head of the districts; administration, together with the Land and Property Relations Committee to work out this issue and form a land plot.

During communication with the citizens, one of the residents of Zaimische appealed to the head of the city with a request to organize a police precinct there. The head of the city promised that he would discuss this issue with the head of the Interior Affairs Department and the Minister of Internal Affairs of the RT.

Irina Samarkina, the director of school №130 of the Moskovsky district, asked about the plans for the construction of a swimming pool in the micro-district Zhilploschadka.

Ilsur Metshin said that this year it is planned to allocate funds for designing a sports facility. “We are planning to build a swimming pool following the example of Derbyshki, next to the sports complex “Forward”. We think that it will appear there soon”, said the Mayor.

The issue of overhauling schools also discussed at the meeting. Thanks to the republican program 134 schools in the capital of Tatarstan older than 30 years received a second life. “Speaking about the overhaul of schools, it was about 8-9 types of work that we are carrying out. But my heart hurts when we leave the renovated school and see the fences, the courtyard territory of the schools in a bad condition”, said the head of the city. “We are now asking the President and the Government to consider the possibility of developing another program for the overhaul of yards and the arrangement of school territories”.

Ilsur Metshin also spoke about the plans for 2018. Artur Abdulzyanov, the general director of the production association “Zarnitsa”, asked the head of the city about the longer perspective and dreams of the Mayor.

The Mayor reminded that Kazan will host the world championship of working professions WorldSkills in 2019. Now the construction of an exhibition center near the airport is being completed. “This world championship is incomparable. This is not a sporting event. But it raises interest in the working professions, leads to a different level of respect for them”, said the Mayor.

“What do I dream about? Simple things: make Kazan the most comfortable and safe city. This is the biggest, maximum task if we talk about my dream. We will carry out work of all kinds for reaching this goal”, summed up the Mayor and thanked all those gathered for their contribution to the development of the city.

At the end of the meeting, the head of the city presented awards. Dilus Mazitov, the head of the ensemble of the cultural center “Zalesny”, Almir Mikheev, the deputy of the Kazan City Duma and the director of the Innovation Center “Anatomika”, Irek Rizvanov, the director of the Lyceum №2 of the Moskovsky district, Tatiana Talanova, the chairman of the TSG “Staroe Arakchino”, Andrey Shulyakov, the director of the OOO “Planetamarket”, are encouraged by the letter of gratitude of the Mayor of Kazan.
