(KZN.RU,
November 27, Alsu Safina). The proposal of the Kazan Executive Committee on
granting a privilege on property tax to families with disabled children will be
considered at the regular session of the Kazan City Duma. Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, gave such an order on the Business Monday today.
This
proposal was announced in the report of Damir Fattakhov, the first deputy head
of the Executive Committee, about holding the Decade of Disabled People in
Kazan.
Damir
Fattakhov said that the experience of Russian cities providing property tax
privileges to families with disabled children was studied. “This practice is
being successfully implemented in Ufa, Izhevsk, Veliky Novgorod, and other
cities with a million population. Kazan should not stay aside from this
practice. I am confident that this will be a significant help for these
families”, he said.
According
to the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the RT, today,
3967 families with disabled children, which own households in apartment
buildings and individual houses, live in Kazan. “The amount of the individuals'
property tax paid by this category of payers is about 12 million rubles a year
for Kazan”, said D. Fattakhov.
The Mayor
of Kazan noted that it is necessary to support the initiative of granting
privileges on property tax to families with disabled children. “The city budget
will manage the sum of 12 million rubles, I am sure”, he said and instructed to
bring this issue to the next session of the Kazan City Duma.
