I. Metshin: “We need to study and master new ways of helping people with disabilities at the forum “Good Kazan”

(KZN.RU, November 27, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, paid special attention to the topic of social volunteering commenting on the program of the upcoming Decade of Disabled People on the Business Monday. “Not everything is decided by money. Sometimes you need help with physical strength, time, or a kind word. And all this is covered by volunteering. We need to develop social volunteering not just sports one”, he said.

“We have succeeded and have become an example for other cities in sports volunteering. For the last 5 years, our volunteers have worked at the world's leading sporting events: the Olympics, the Universiade, the world championships, and the European and World Cups. But we need to carry out serious work on social volunteering. In this, we are just at the beginning of the road”, Ilsur Metshin addressed the meeting participants.

He suggested discussing this topic at the forum “Good Kazan”, which will be held in the Tatarstan’s capital in December, to study and master new ways of helping people with disabilities.
