be summed up and the “Platinum Third” of higher educational institutions will
be announced in the CSC KFU “UNICS”. On December 2, the big gala concert of the
Freshman Day of secondary vocational schools will be held at the puppet theater
“Ekiyat”, said Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee for Children and
Youth Affairs, on the Business Monday today.
He reminded
that the festival Freshman Day has been held in the Tatarstan’s capital for
more than 20 years. Since October, the festival has taken place at each faculty
and department of each educational institution. “More than 5 thousand freshmen
tried themselves in the creative role on the stages of the assembly and concert
halls, and more than 30 thousand people became spectators”, said A. Faizov.
On November
14-16, more than 2.5 thousand people competed among themselves in the Kazan
Youth Center named after A. Gaidar in 5 directions: musical, dance, theater,
and also original genre, and journalism.
Qualifying
stages for students of professional educational organizations (colleges) were
held from 20 to 23 of November.
The
reporter also said that the best programs on the theme of the Year of Ecology
in the nominations “STEM”, “Original Song”, “Fashion Theater”, “Video”, and
“Animation” will be determined within the contest program. Another innovation
of the Freshman Day this year was the nomination “StandUp” in theatrical
direction, “Animation” in the original genre, and “SMM” in the journalism. “I
want to note that the students didn’t hesitate to try themselves in
non-standard genres but showed themselves to be real professionals”, said A.
Faizov.
In total,
499 applications from collectives and individual performers were received this
year.
The jury
included Leisan Khametova, a People's Artist of the RT, Honored Artists of the
RT Denis Mochalov and Marina Samkova, Airat Kallimullin, an Honored Worker of
Culture, participants and winners of TV projects “Dance on TNT” and “Dance”
Anna Tikhaya and Marat Kazikhanov, Andrey Rudenko, a composer, Honored Artists
Lyalya Garifullina and Tatiana Lyadova, Ksenia Belova, an actress of the
theater “Zanaves” (Moscow), and others.
“We all
remember the student's free fun time”, sad Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
“It is important that the current freshmen and students, in general, have much
more opportunities to realize their abilities in Kazan because the base of our
universities has seriously grown”.
According
to the Mayor, students can develop their talents in the areas they have
enrolled to become professionals. In addition, they can try themselves on stage
and in sports.
