(KZN.RU,
September 14, Mikhail Chentsov). Today Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city,
visited one of the resource classes for children with autism spectrum disorder
at the school №1 of the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan. Such classes appeared in
five educational institutions of the capital of Tatarstan this year. The Mayor
looked at a special class, where he talked with the teacher and students.
On
September 1, 2017, resource classes for children with autistic diseases were
opened in Kazan in schools №1, 65, 97, 156, and 168. The cost of equipping the
classes was 1.66 million rubles. In addition, the fund has allocated almost
another 335 thousand rubles for training 17 teachers and tutors on a
specialized pedagogical program.
Darina
Tabakova, the general director of the charitable fund “V Tvoyu Polzu”, which
together with Ilsur Metshin visited school №1, noted that resource class
teachers work according to a special program that has proved itself well both
in Russia and in international practice. “Together with the Education
Department of Kazan, we have prepared a social project for teaching children
with an autism spectrum disorder in the secondary schools of the city. We fully
equipped the classrooms, trained staff who work with children on a daily basis.
It allows socializing children so that in the future they can live in a
society”, she said about the project.
7 pupils
training in the resource class at school №1. In total, 19 applications were
submitted from the parents for the standard of primary education, and all
children are arranged in the appropriate classes. Before the opening of
resource classes, children studied in correctional schools or at home. And an
inclusive education helps these children to socialize and find their place in
society.
Teacher
Olga Galanina, who deals with children with autism spectrum disorder, told the
Mayor of Kazan that many cases are known in the world practice when the
autistic children are undergoing a correction and even are being cured.
According
to I. Metshin, he specially came to see how the new program, which is very
important for the city, is being realized. "We started this work together
with Oscar Prokopiev, the chairman of the board of the Bank of Kazan, and the
fund" In your favor "within the framework of the" Good Kazan
"project. For us, this is a new direction. We will definitely support it,
study it and continue implementing it. Because there is a positive experience
in the world, and not only in the world, thank God, but also in your school.
Thank you very much for this work! "Said Ilsur Metshin.
Olga
Galanina also told the Mayor of Kazan about the specifics of studying in a
special class. She noted that until recently there was no adapted educational
program with the participation of tutors. Such specialists help children
throughout the day: the entire educational process is built on the fact that
interaction with people happens through them.
“At the
very beginning, this program is built on the theory of ABA. Certain behavioral
moments, skills, and skills are practiced, and then we go to a deeper level of
regulation and self-awareness. This process is long enough, time-consuming but
effective”, she said.
At the end
of the lesson, I. Metshin congratulated one of the seven pupils of the class on
his birthday. Ramir, who turned 8 today, received a construction set from the
Mayor of Kazan. “Invite us once you make it! Happy birthday to you, be healthy
and happy”, said the Mayor.
Damir
Fattakhov, the first deputy head of the Kazan Executive Committee, Ilsur
Khadiullin, the head of the Education Department, and Andrey Lobov, the head of
the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration, also visited the
school together with the head of the capital of the RT.
Since last
year, state standards of education for children with disabilities have been
introduced in Russia. So, 61 schools in Kazan are adapted for the education of
disabled children, 34 institutions are the basic sites for inclusive education
in each district of the city. 2 resource centers have already been made, which
have established networking with specialized medical institutions, and a class
for blind children is open at music school №13.
