(KZN.RU,
August 18, Mikhail Chentsov). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, congratulated
Anna Troup, a resident of the capital of Tatarstan, on her 100th birthday
today. The Mayor came to visit the citizen, who lives in the Vakhitovsky
district of the city, and talked with her and her daughter at a festive table.
The Mayor of Kazan also conveyed to her congratulations from Vladimir Putin,
the President of Russia, and Rustam Minnikhanov, the head of Tatarstan.
Anna Trupp,
a worker in the rear, a veteran of labor, has lived in Kazan since 1948, having
moved to the city at the age of 31. Lev Trupp, her husband, passed the Finnish
war and the entire Great Patriotic War. He died in 1972. Anna Trupp has a big
family: two daughters, three grandsons, and two great-grandsons. One of her
daughters, Olga, works as a director of secondary school №2, lives with her
mother, and takes care of her. Although, despite her advanced age, Anna tries
to do the housework on her own.
“I
congratulate the 100-year-old citizen of Kazan not for the first time, and it
is very clear for me. All those who have lived to 100 years old are positive
people. They are happy with life, grateful to the family. This is probably
still the main elixir of longevity”, said Ilsur Metshin and asked the Anna to
share her secret of longevity.
According
to Anna Trupp, there is no secret, she simply reads a lot and is interested in
various spheres of life, especially politics. “I know all our leaders, read a
lot of newspapers. I'm an absolute politician”, she said. As Olga Trupp noted,
she is subscribed for five newspapers for her mother every week.
The Mayor
asked the veteran what was the most difficult time, and what was the happiest.
“I worked during the war, I know all the details of our life. It was a hard
job, but we got through it. And we went to work, delivered lectures. We taught
children to work honestly and fairly. I lived a good life, not a sitting one”,
Anna Trupp shared her memories.
“We
congratulate you from the bottom of our hearts, be healthy! Thank you for your
daughter! She's one of our best directors. You can be proud of your children”,
said Ilsur Metshin and handed a big plasma TV to Anna Trupp.
Andrey
Lobov, the head of the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts’ administration of
Kazan, also came to congratulate Anna Trupp on her birthday.
Anna Trupp
was born in the city of Kondarovo, Kaluga region, from where she moved to
Leningrad in 1934. In 1943, she was evacuated from Leningrad to the Urals
