(KZN.RU, August 17, Anton Nozdrin). A new football field with an artificial cover in the yard of the house №27 on Daurskaya Street will be opened on August 30 in Kazan. A children's playground with a special rubber coating and a sports ground for work-out are arranged next to the new football field. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, inspected a new sports ground, built at the request of local residents.

Residents of nearby houses applied to Ilsur Metshin for the construction of a football field in May this year during a working meeting and inspection of the overhaul process in the yards on Otradnaya and Daurskaya streets. They noted that they always played football here as children but now there is no suitable field in the district. As it turned out, the Mayor also played here in his youth.

Ildar Khabibullin, the director of the contract organization OOO “Tair Group”, reported to the Mayor of Kazan on the construction progress of a 23-by-43-meter field. He said that the works are at the final stage. It remains only to lay the cover, an artificial lawn with sand and rubber chips. I. Metshin inquired whether it would be safe to play on such a cover, how hard it is. The contractor said that the organization is building professional football fields. “We guarantee that the knees will be safe”, assured I. Khabibullin.

“Here is a special field. They played football here in my time 25 years ago, and 20 years before me. They come from all over the city, play both regional and inter-district competitions”, said I. Metshin. According to him, veterans of football, who know a lot about football fields, will play here, and it needs to be made as good as possible.

Rustem Gafarov, the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration, said that all 6 houses around the yard have been renovated in the last three years. Now work is under way to improve the yard. R. Gafarov said that graffiti will be next to the football field on the building: children with football balls, walking mothers, and others. The head of the city appreciated the idea. “We overhauled all the houses, and life seems different in the yards. These elements of graffiti should create a mood in any weather”, noted I. Metshin.

In total, about 800 people live in these houses. Also, the Youth Sports Center “Olimp” is located near, in which several hundred children are enrolled. According to Rustem Gafarov, pupils of the sports school, as well as all residents of the micro-district can come and play in the new field.

A children's playground is built next to the football field. R. Gafarov explained that it will be divided into zones for children of different ages. Also, a sports ground for work-out will appear in the yard. All works are discussed with the residents. In particular, the citizens made suggestions on the location of benches and the expansion of sidewalks.
