(KZN.RU,
August 14, Mikhail Chentsov). In 2019, it is planned to start processing the
formed sediment at the treatment facilities in Kazan. The competition for the
development of a project for the construction of a shop for thermomechanical
processing of sediment took place this year. Now the design and survey work on
the project is underway, according to which the technological process will be
fully automated. Andrey Egorov, the director of the MUE “Vodokanal”, reported
this during the Business Monday to the Executive Committee.
According
to him, the product, obtained after processing, can be used for reclamation of
quarries and for the pouring of solid household waste. “We will solve the
half-century problem associated with the silt fields due to the construction of
this shop, which will complement the technological process of sewage cleaning”,
reported A. Egorov. He also added that a similar process of sediment treatment
is successfully used in many countries of the world, in particular, in such
cities as Berlin, Dubai, Kassel, and Heidelberg. The main advantage of the
technology is reliability, fault tolerance, and low operating costs.
As the
director of the “Vodokanal” noted, the planned date for the beginning of
construction is 2018 with the completion date of construction within one year.
“For today, the technology of processing existing sediment fields is being
developed. The pre-project experimental research is under way. The remediation
technology will be selected, based on the results, and a corresponding project
will be developed”, he said.
“We come to
the result where there will be no more silt fields. This litter has been lying
on 117 ha for 50 years, and now there will be no more sediment. There will be
no smell but there will be a product that can be used to fill up ravines and in
road construction”, marked Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan.
