(KZN.RU,
August 7, Anton Nozdrin). The plan for medical examination of Kazan residents
in 2017 is 205690 people. During the first half of the year, 97165 people
underwent a medical examination. It is hardest to involve persons of working
age in the preventive examination, said Ilnur Khalfiev, the head of the Health
Department of the Ministry of Health of the RT for Kazan, at today’s Business
Monday in the Kazan City Hall.
According
to him, the prevention is a promising way to reduce disability and increase
life expectancy. In this case, the most effective direction is considered the
method of secondary prevention: a medical examination. So, 71268 diseases were
detected in Kazan in the course of medical examination only in the first half
of the year.
The number
of citizens undergoing a preventive examination is growing every year. If there
were more than 78 thousand people undergoing a medical examination in 2013, in
2016 – more than 177 thousand people. “Today, the urgent task for us is to
attract people of working age to preventive measures. Unfortunately, this
category of citizens often resorts to medical care at the stage of persistent
health changes due to their workload. They end up in hospitals in critical
condition with such serious diseases as a heart attack, stroke, which are the
result of untimely detected and untreated diseases”, said the head of the
department.
I. Khalfiev
noted that there is not enough assistance from some heads of large enterprises
and small and medium-sized businesses in this matter. According to the head of
the department, employers should take care of their employees’ health and
facilitate the organization of preventive examinations. Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, noted that it is necessary to contact the Internet reception of
the City Hall in such cases. “We will respond to appeals in a timely manner and
find a common language with all leaders so that the medical examination will be
timely carried out in their teams”, noted the head of the city.
According
to the head of the health department, the citizens are invited to receive
medical examinations in several ways. In particular, medical workers do this
when they go to a polyclinic for any reason, invite residents by phone and
through the media. Insurance companies are included in this work. “But one
cannot preserve human health if one does not turn to a medical institution in a
timely manner and takes preventive measures”, said I. Khalfiyev and urged the
citizens to pass preventive examinations more actively.
I. Metshin noted
that modern medicine has great opportunities to identify early stages of
diseases that can be cured. “We see that people began to change their attitude.
In recent years, the number of people who have undergone regular medical
examinations has more than doubled. I am glad that we can cover a record number
of residents with medical examinations this year. Each diagnosis saves one
life”, said the Mayor of Kazan.
