(KZN.RU,
June 14, Mikhail Chentsov). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the Tatarstan’s
capital, got acquainted with the passing results of the renovation works of the
teenage club “Avangard” in the Sovetsky district of Kazan. It is planned to
complete the works, expand the list of sections, and increase the number of
pupils twice in the club by mid-summer.
The teenage
club “Avangard”, which total area is 594.7 square meters, is located in the
annex to the residential building of 1990 at Lomzhinskaya Street, №15. The club
building consists of more than a dozen rooms, including sports, choreographic
and gymnasium halls, creativity and aeromodelling offices, wardrobe, locker
rooms, shower, etc.
The
“Avangard” entered the republic's overhaul program for 2017 along with another
8 Kazan clubs. Water supply and electricity supply systems and sewerage will be
replaced, the roof and facade will be repaired, the finishing works will be
carried out there during the construction and installation works. In addition,
the club is adapted for the low mobile groups of the population within the
framework of the program “Available Environment”. The contractor organization
OOO “RepairstroyService” is engaged in a major overhaul. It is planned to
complete all work by July 15.
Coteries
and sections on aeromodelling, boxing, karate, vocal, Indian and Oriental
dances, hip-hop, cheerleading, and hockey operated in the club until overhaul.
After the renovation, coteries on robotics, mechatronics, laser and 3D
technology, and English will appear in the “Avangard” in addition to the
existing directions, as well as the coterie “Fascinating Science”. Airat
Faizov, the chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs, gave a
tour around the club grounds for the Mayor. According to him, the institution
will be able to increase the number of its pupils almost twice from 317
teenagers to 570 thanks to major repairs and the introduction of new
progressive sections.
Ruslan
Semenov, the deputy director of MBU “Teenager”, talked about the important role
that the teenage club plays in children's lives. According to him, the guys who
have recently been engaged in aeromodelling sports in the “Avangard” now work
at one of the city's factories and come to the club to conduct master classes
by themselves.
Ilsur
Metshin appreciated the transformations, which are going to be made to the
“Avangard” in the near future, and noted that very often the future designers
are born in the classroom in such coteries of technical creativity. “At first,
they collect small models by their hands and make them fly, and then they come
to the KAI and other technical universities and grow into great designers who
build large gliders”, said the Mayor of Kazan.
I. Metshin
expressed his gratitude to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, for
initiating and supporting a program for the overhaul of teenage clubs. “Thanks
to the President of the Republic. This year, we will repair nine clubs. And this
club is a good example. If before there were 317 children here, after overhaul
it will be possible to receive almost 600 children and train them additional
skills”, said the Mayor.
The Mayor
of Kazan also inspected the territory, adjacent to the “Avangard”. After the
survey, I. Metshin instructed to reorganize the sports ground near the club,
making it more modern and convenient for the citizens. “This is a good sports
ground. I think we will be able to overhaul it as well, and there will be more
activity. This is a good cause to take our children in non-school time so that
they do not pass the time at the computers but could get new skills. The
program will last another year and all clubs will be overhauled. We will work”,
concluded I. Metshin.
In addition
to attending a teenage club, the Mayor got acquainted with the project of
improving the pedestrian alley, which is located near the “Avangard” between
streets Minskaya and Lomzhinskaya. It is planned to install several grounds in
the alley, among which the territory for the youngest residents of the
district, as well as a recreation area with Wi-Fi. According to Rustem Gafarov,
the head of the Sovetsky district’s administration of Kazan, about 20 thousand
people live in houses, located near the alley. “It would seem that this is a
secondary street for us, and by the amount population, it is not. In general,
the zoning is correct but I have only one wish: consider the opinion of local
residents, and invite our young creative students. Let them offer their vision
of this territory’s future”, said the head of the capital of the RT.
