I. Metshin: “Only joint fishing can be better than joint fish broth”

(KZN.RU, June 10, Mikhail Chentsov). The gastronomic fishing week will be held in Kazan on the days of the Confederation Cup. From June 16 to 22, 50 restaurants of the city will offer their best dishes to Kazan citizens and guests. The beginning of the fishing week will start with the festival “Fishka”, which will be held on June 16-17 near the Kazan Chasha. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, appreciated the idea of the project and instructed it to be held at a high level at the today’s staff meeting in the Executive Committee.

According to Daria Sannikova, the director of the Tourism Promotion Committee, the fish that will be represented at the festival are pf exclusively local production. “This is sterlet, carp, and trout, grown in republican fisheries”,  noted D. Sannikova and invited residents and guests of the city to visit the festival and try 1000 liters of the “Big Kazan fish broth”.

“Only joint fishing can be better than joint fish broth”, said the Mayor of Kazan about the original idea of the festival. According to him, in the near future, the heads of the Executive Committee units will not have time for fishing, given the tasks that they face in the period of the Confederation Cup. Nevertheless, the event may become a new Kazan “schtick”. "The fact that we have more and more schticks is important. We agreed on this, so let's hold the festival at a high level”, said the Mayor and once again congratulated the citizens of Kazan and all Russians on the upcoming Day of Russia.
