The Mayor of Kazan has checked the readiness of the MUE “Gorvozelenhoz” to plant flowers in the streets of Kazan

Early in the morning, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the greenhouses of the trust “Govvodzelenhoz” on H.Taktash Street, where 2,5 million flowers are grown. Rosa Zabbarova, the director of the MUE, said that this year the city will be decorated with 4 voluminous flower figures in addition to traditional flower beds and pendant pots. A new composition the FIFA-2018 wall, dedicated to the Confederations Cup and the World Cup, will be added to the figures of the Ak-Bars, the firebird, and the ball, familiar to Kazan citizens.

The voluminous flower composition “FIFA 2018 Wall” was developed by Ilsya Khametzyanova, a trust’s specialist in the landscape architecture. The composition will be made of flower seedlings of green and red alternanthera in the amount of 23 thousand 470 pieces. All flower seedlings are grown in the greenhouses of the trust. Drip auto-watering is provided throughout the frame of the wall and the ball for the care of flowers. The installation of the composition is planned for the end of May.

The area of the trust’s greenhouses is about 4 thousand square meters. Now all the greenhouses are filled with seedlings of annual plants of 18 names, and the employees of the enterprise work on it. In total, 2.5 million annual flowers are grown in greenhouses. Last year, 1.4 million annual flowers were grown on the basis of the enterprise, among which ageratum, antirium, salvia, canna, marigold, petunia, and others were. “We are ready to plant seedlings in the city by May 25”, said Rosa Zabbarova.

The area of flower beds will be 17.4 thousand square meters, or 1.2 million pieces of flower seedlings, according to the planned municipal contract. In addition, this year, vertical flower decoration will be performed at 15 urban sites of about 3.5 thousand elements of flower pots with basket flowers. The Orenburg highway, the Millennium Square, streets Pavlyukhin, S. Khakim, and a number of others will be dressed in floral attire.

Tulips, which were planted last fall on an area of 3 thousand square meters, will blossom in May on the streets of Kazan. The flower beds are planted on the Orenburg tract, Lobachevsky Street, the Millennium Square, the Svoboda Square, the square at the Kamal Theater, in the Pobedy Park, and on other sites of the city.

Rosa Zabbarova also drew attention to the fact that this year 4 large figures will adorn the capital of Tatarstan. The new composition the wall of FIFA-2018, dedicated to the Confederations Cup and the FIFA World Cup, should appear at the stadium “Kazan Arena” in addition to the figures of the Ak-Bars, a firebird, and a ball, familiar to Kazan citizens. It is assumed that the length of the object will be 19 m, and the height – 4.5 m.

Ilsur Metshin drew attention to the great contribution of the enterprise to the flower design of the city, noting that the above-mentioned volumes of planting flowers will appear only through the efforts of the “Gorvodzelenkhoz” without taking into account other enterprises of improvement, budget institutions, and private companies.
