The project “Zhiznelub” will be released in parks and squares of Kazan from June 1

(KZN.RU, April 3, Alsu Safina). The project for pensioners “Zhiznelub” will be realized in parks and squares of Kazan from June 1. Azat Abzalov, the head of the Department of Culture, announced this today on the Business Monday. According to him, the parks Uritsky, “Continent”, “Krylya Sovetov”, the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest, the Aksenov Square, the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, the Derbyshki Park, and other public spaces will be involved in the summer schedule of the network of interest clubs “Zhiznelub” in addition to cultural institutions.

Azat Abzalov said that the project, launched in the framework of the “Good Kazan” in December, attracted 800 people at the initial stage. Today, the number of “life lovers” has increased to 2000 people. The number of citizens of the “third age” who are engaged in municipal houses of culture has grown twice for these three months, taking into account pensioners, who previously participated in the national collectives.

The project “Zhiznelub” is being implemented already in 12 cultural centers (CC “Saidash”, “Zalesny”, HoC Said-Galieva, “Yunost”, “Mirny”, “Polymer”, HoC named after Lenin, HoC “Voznesenskoe”, “Krasnaya Gorka”, “Kadyshevo”, “Severny” and “Nagorny”) and in two libraries (the Central Library and the Library Branch №15).

According to the head of the Department of Culture, dances, vocals, gardening, and healthy lifestyle have the greatest popularity among Kazan pensioners out of 10 presented directions. Elderly residents of the city are happy to attend meetings in the direction of “Mobile literacy” and master modern technologies. In addition, the participants of the project “Zhiznelub” asked to expand the range of activities in such areas as exercise therapy, Scandinavian walking, and martial arts and to create a dating club. It was possible to involve 25 representatives of student's youth (students and postgraduates of the KSAU, the KSMU and the Kazan Institute of Culture) to implement the project in addition to employees of culture houses and libraries. Representatives of the Rospotrebnadzor, the Society of Gardeners, and the Council of Veterans cover topical issues in the sphere of a country world, landscape design, and consumer protection. And Zufar Gimaev, the chairman of the Union of Artists of the RT, teaches older people the skills of the fine arts.

80% of the participants in the project are women. The oldest participant of the project is 91 years old. “This is Vera Filyanina from the Sovetsky district, and she attends theater classes at the CC “Saidash”, said Azat Abzalov.

He conveyed gratitude to the Mayor of Kazan from Elvira Krupina, the participant of the project “Zhiznelub”, for the accordion given. “We handed it to the Day of Cultural Worker. And this, according to the project participants, has become an impetus for the development of their creativity”, the speaker noted. “Last week, another vocal group appeared in the CC “Saidash”, which was called “Zhiznelub”.

“May God grant us all to live to 91 years and do what pleases out souls”, said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. According to him, “active longevity is a sign of a developed society”. The Mayor noted that the project will be supported. “We have not yet reached all pensioners. It is necessary to continue the information work”, said Ilsur Metshin. “Parks will open soon, and it is an ideal place for this big work with retired people”.

The Mayor of Kazan marked that it is necessary to analyze the requests of pensioners, which may vary depending on the place of their residence. Ilsur Metshin also reminded that the project should be free for its participants.
