I. Metshin: “The festival that originated in Kazan confidently spreads around the republic”

(KZN.RU, March 20, Alsu Safina). Commenting on the results of the city stage of the festival “Sozvezdie” at today’s Business Monday, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said that much work is being done to support talented children and young people in Kazan. He reminded that various festivals and contests, aimed at revealing the creative potential of young Kazan residents, are held in the capital of Tatarstan, teenage clubs are overhauled, where they make their first steps and get a ticket to the creative life. Thus, 5-year-old Ivan Shuvarov, one of the participants of the “Sozvezdie”, appeared on the show “Best of all” yesterday on the air of the “Channel One Russia”.

“If earlier, 10-15 years ago, only few music and choreography teachers worked in kindergartens and schools, today creative and cultural life in educational institutions is presented more fully”, said the Mayor.

“It is important that children not only learn well and diligently, eat equally tasty and quality. It is necessary to pay attention and reveal the talents that are laid in every child”, said Ilsur Metshin and expressed gratitude to teachers and parents who manage to do it.

Speaking about the “Sozvezdie”, which was held in the capital of the RT last week, the Mayor noted that “the festival that originated in Kazan today confidently spreads around the republic”. According to I. Metshin, the gala concert of the festival is an ornament of the cultural life of Tatarstan and its capital. “We now see the graduates of “Sozvezdie” at national, Russian and international festivals, as well as on television, which, of course, is pleasing”, he said.

Airat Faizov, the chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs, reminded that the city stage of the “Sozvezdie” was held from 5 to 7 of March in the children's center of the Puppet Theater “Ekiyat”. More than 4.5 thousand participants at the age from 5 to 21 years took part in it. Young Kazan citizens competed for prizes in following nominations: “Entertainer”, “Fashion Theater”, “Vocal solo”, “Choreography”, “Vocal Ensembles” and “Vocals and Instrumental Ensembles”, as well as in special nominations of this year: “Best Song Text”, “Best Videoclip”, “Best Children Song” and “Most Kind Song”.

The gala concert of the Kazan youth festival of estrade art “Sozvezdie” was held on the stage of the Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. A. Faizov drew attention to the fact that the distinctive feature of the concert was the performance of the festival pupils, children from 5 to 10 years, as narrators.

The chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs reported that 143 collectives and a soloist received the titles of laureates of the contest at the awarding ceremony. The dance band “Road from the City” became the owner of the grand prix of the city festival.

The republican festival will be held from 9 to 14 of April.
