I. Metshin reported to the team of the Kazan Helicopter Plant about the work for 2016

(KZN.RU, February 17, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the Tatarstan’s capital, met with the employees of the Kazan Helicopter Plant, reported on the results of 2016, outlined plans for the current year, and answered questions from employees.

I. Metshin, along with Vadim Ligai, the general director of the PAO “Kazan Helicopter Plant”, visited the shop, where mechanical and aggregate production is carrying out, as well as the final assembly and painting of helicopters. B. Ligai told I. Metshin about modernization of the enterprise, demonstrated the company’s equipment and the way, in which work is organized in the picking warehouse. The Mayor noted the modern automated production of the plant. “Impressive! You have gone far ahead”, he said.

Later, referring to the factory workers, Ilsur Metshin said: “I am overwhelmed with a sense of pride and respect for your leadership and staff, for your traditions”. The Mayor of Kazan said that he visits the factory not for the first time. “Those rates, which the plant and its staff paced, are admirable”, assured the Mayor. “I found myself thinking that Kazan is behind these changes, and we have a lot of work to be like you”.

The Mayor of Kazan marked that the Kazan Helicopter Plant today is among the leaders of the domestic aviation industry. “High reliability, ruggedness, safety and ease of service are the card of Kazan helicopters”, he said. More than 12 thousand helicopters, manufactured at the plant, fly in 100 countries. Helicopters made here have flown more than 50 million hours. “Despite the crisis, your company not only remained afloat, but also has great potential for development”, said the Mayor.

Summing up the 2016, I. Metshin noted that the year was not easy. The important event was the adoption of the Strategy of socio-economic development of Kazan until 2030, and the main objective laid down in the document is to make the capital of the RT the most comfortable city in Russia.

I. Metshin talked about the economic indicators for 2016, the main achievements of the city in the areas of urban development, housing and communal services and construction. Speaking about the development of social sphere, he raised the issue of improving the living conditions and the construction of social facilities. The Mayor reported that 740,000 square meters of housing were built and commissioned in Kazan for 2016. In addition, the sports capital of Russia continues to pay attention to the development of sports. At the end of 2016, the number of Kazan residents regularly engaged in physical culture and sports has made more than 450 thousand people: 40.1% of the total number of residents.

I. Metshin reminded that one of the priorities of the city development is the “Good Kazan’. The Mayor thanked the factory workers for their participation in charitable projects, in particular in the restoration of the Zilant monastery, the Annunciation Cathedral and many others.

After the report, the Mayor has answered numerous questions of factory workers, which were concerned of different themes and directions. Employees interested how the project of separate waste collection develops in the city, asked questions about the fate of the “Tatfondbank”. Also, factory workers noted that despite the work being done in the city, the lighting is not enough in some streets. Employees asked questions about the overhaul program of apartment buildings, construction of playgrounds, and arrangement of sidewalks.

The Mayor pointed out that the problems, with which residents are turning to the Internet-reception the City Hall, are similar to all districts of Kazan. They are resolved gradually, and programs are formed taking into account the requests from citizens.

Ilsur Metshin also was asked whether the construction of a second bridge across the Volga is planned. The Mayor answered affirmative, noting that its construction is provided in the General Plan of Kazan. He reminded that the document is being developed jointly with the Research Institute “General Plan of Moscow” at the moment.

The staff was interested in the fate of the 3rd and 4th houses of the RC “Symphony”. “We are now discussing the completion of these houses’ construction with the company “Briz”. Also, the investigating authorities are working to identify the assets of the developer”, said I. Metshin. “In addition, the Decree of the President of the RT has started to operate, which allows taking land for construction in the turnover without bidding. This is one of the resources that will be used to resolve the situation with problem houses”.

One of the employees said that there is no department store in the area of streets Aidarov and Kutuzov, and the residents have to go to the Zhilploschadka or the Karavaevo. Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and the Novo-Savinovsky districts administration, said that the land will be put up for auction. The issue will be resolved positively if entrepreneurs are interested in developing their business in this area.

In conclusion, Ilsur Metshin thanked the factory workers for the contribution they make to the development of the city and a desire to participate in the life of the city, to make it more comfortable and well-appointed for life.
