(KZN.RU,
February 20, Alsu Safina). Possibilities for skiing will be expanded in Kazan.
Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, said this at the Business Monday, summing up
the “Ski Track of Russia” race, held on February 18 in the capital of
Tatarstan.
The Mayor
of Kazan said that Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, told about
the plans to modernize and restore the ski base “Locomotiv” in Yudino on the

on the results of the “Ski Track of Russia”, I. Metshin said: "The main
indicator for us is mass. This year, 20 500 residents of Kazan put on the skis,
the number of skiers is growing in all districts of the city, and it is
pleasing. The well forgotten old is returning when the whole family stand on
skis”. “Changes have occurred in the Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest, there are new
skiers, and the weather favors this year”, added the Mayor
The
Gorkinsko-Ometevsky forest, which was landscaped last year, has become one of
the sites of the mass ski race. Launches were also held at the stadium
