December 22). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, handed keys to
new cars to the winners of the Republican contest among municipalities. The
event was held in the Tatarstan State Council building in the framework of the
XI Congress of the Council of municipal formations Association of the RT. Farid
Mukhametshin, the chairman of the Tatarstan State Council, Ilsur Metshin, the
Mayor of Kazan, Minsagit Shakirov, the chairman of the Council of municipal
formations of the RT, and others participated in the ceremony.

applications were submitted to the contest this year. The main evaluation
criteria is the average annual number of resident population of rural
settlement, tax and non-tax revenues per capita, the number of cattle,
commissioning of individual housing per capita, the pace of programs
implementation for support of small and medium-sized businesses on the ground,
and other programs.
Municipalities
and urban districts are the foundation of the republic, noted Rustam
Minnikhanov in his welcoming speech. “You are doing very important work,
without which it is impossible to ensure stable livelihoods and systematic
development of our territories. So you are the most important link in the
system of state power not only in our republic but also in the entire country”,
the President of Tatarstan addressed to the heads of municipalities.

Minnikhanov expressed hope that the car fleet renewal will greatly enhance the
efficiency of local authorities. “I believe that we finish this year with a
decent result. The growth of gross regional product, industrial output,
investments in fixed assets has been noted. We continue to hold leading
positions on main parameters among the Russian regions. This is the result of
joint work of all authorities”, marked R. Minnikhanov and handed keys to 100
vehicles to the winners of the competition.
Minsagit
Shakirov said that the large-scale work to ensure heads of municipalities with
official vehicles has been carrying out in the country over the past six years.
For today, only six managers need cars. It is planned to provide them with
transport in the near future, reports the Tatarstan Government Portal.
