The master-plan of the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda was presented in Kazan

(KZN.RU, December 12). The master-plan of the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda was presented today to Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, at the Government House. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, took part in the meeting.

Sergey Choban, the architect and director of the architectural bureau “SPEECH”, told about the results of work on creation of unique location on the territory of the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda, in which current trends of the world of construction will reflect.

The project will provide a single pedestrian zone along the river Kazanka and the Volga, parks, squares, residential areas and cultural sites, including the museum complex “Admiralteiskaya Shipyards”, an interactive museum of water of the XXI century, a concert hall, convention center, and other, reports the press-service of the President of the RT.

It is supposed to use the territory of the plant “Santehpribor” and the Kazan Helicopter Plant (KHP). It is suggested not to demolish the building of the Alafuzov factory but use for the establishment of a mixed cluster. The appearance of the recreational and tourist area is positioned as one of the main ideas of the Admiralteiskaya Sloboda’s reviving.

Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the submitted master-plan. According to him, it is necessary to take this document as the base. In the future, the main task is to adhere to this concept, which will comply with the style, defined in the plan. “It's very interesting work”, Rustam Minnikhanov said. “We need to move forward, taking this plan into account”.

Rustam Minnikhanov also praised the decision on the museum “Admiralteiskaya Shipyard” project, which was worked out by the architectural bureau of Sergey Choban, based on the KSUAE materials. The President has instructed to start the detailed design together.
