(KZN.RU,
November 21, Alsu Safina). The medical examination is continuing in Kazan.
Through preventive examination 1181 case of suspected oncological causes have
been identified for the first 10 months of this year, 289 cases of malignancies
have been confirmed. In total 145 thousand 848 persons were examined,
accounting for 71.3% of the annual plan, said Ilnur Halfiev, the head of Health
Department of the Ministry of Health, at the today's Business Monday.
According
to him, it is expected to examine 204.4 thousand people in the current year,
which is 11% higher than a year earlier. Ilnur Halfiev said that 76.9% of the
planned number of city residents was inspected in 2014, in 2015 - 94.4%.
According
to Ilnur Halfiev, the main concern is that the coverage of the working
population aged between 39 and 60 years remains insufficient. Thus, only 57.1%,
or 46,400 out 81,257 people of this group went medical examinations for 10
months. The Mayor asked what the reason of such a measure is. As the head of
the Department of Health told, one of the reasons for the low coverage of
prophylactic medical examination of working age is the fact that managers of
large enterprises, small and medium-sized businesses do not facilitate a
clinical examination.
“Unfortunately,
the leaders of many institutions believe that it is sufficient to hold annual
periodic medical examinations of employees, and there is no need for preventive
medical examination”, noted the speaker and added that the volume of research,
conducted within the framework of periodic medical examinations and within the
framework of the clinical examination, is not identical. One of the areas of
clinical examination is research to identify malignancies: breast cancer,
female reproductive organs, prostate, colon and lung. “By the experience of
previous work, cancer of 1-2 stage was 71% of all diagnosed malignancies”, said
Ilnur Halfiev and stressed that the earlier the cancer is detected, the better
the chances for a successful surgery and recovery.
The speaker
noted that Kazan citizens over 60 years respond to the invitation to pass
medical examinations more often: 78.8% (or 38 396 out of 48 738) were examined
for 10 months. 82% (just over 61 thousand out of 74 thousand people) among
residents aged 21-36 years have passed medical examinations for 10 months.
Ilnur
Halfiev drew attention to the fact that the lowest indices in the Vakhitovsky
district (51.9%). This number in the Kirovsky district is 56.1%, in Moskovsky
district -. 63.7%.
He also
cited the following data: 74 235 cases recorded in the 10 months, 13769 of them
have been revealed for the first time, 16 983 cases of preliminary diagnoses
have been found. Cardiovascular diseases account for 38.5% of the number of
registered diseases, 21.6 - endocrine system diseases, 12.8 - digestive
diseases, 8.2 - diseases of the genitourinary system.
1181 case
of suspected oncological causes have been identified in the framework of the
clinical examination, 289 cases of malignant tumors confirmed.
Ilsur
Metshin, the Mayor of the city, asked the head of the Health Department about
the order of passage of the clinical examination. Ilnur Halfiev said that the
ads are hung and notices are sent to mailboxes that say citizens of which
year-birth are subject to clinical examination. “A man came to the clinic. He
says he wants to pass the medical examination. He is invited to the medical
prevention office, where the work starts and he is given the itinerary, with
which he passes all the experts and all the diagnosis, which is provided as
part of the clinical examination”, said the speaker. He also noted that Kazan
citizens, who are undergoing medical examinations, are a priority, and they do
not need to wait for a doctor or wait in the queue. In addition, for those who
cannot pass the medical examination during the week, experts are working on the
Saturday as well.
“Health is
all that we have. Please do everything that Kazan citizens were promptly
notified and cover as much as possible of the population to be subject to
clinical examination”, said Ilsur Metshin.
