The President of Russia Race was held at the Kazan horse-racing complex.
(KZN.RU, June 27). Tagir Metshin won the Kazan Hippodrome Prize, while the Kazan Prize went to Krasnodar. Such were the results of two of the nine races held yesterday in the international horse-racing complex "Kazan".
You may remember that in the evening of June 24, the President of Russia Race kicked off at the horse-racing complex. The equestrian competitions were attended by the presidents of Russia, Armenia and Tatarstan: Dmitry Medvedev, Serge Sargsyan and Rustam Minnikhanov, as well as by the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
A total of nine races were held with the prize fund of 28.5 million rubles, including the Kazan Hippodrome Prize, the "Towards the Universiade" prize and the City of Kazan Prize.
The main event of the day was the President of the Russian Federation Race, whose prize pool amounted to 10 million rubles.
The 2011 Kazan Hippodrome Prize was won by a bay mare Lemon Love Kid under jockey Tagir Metshin, the son of the Mayor of Kazan.
The Kazan Prize was won by Mydream (Krasnodar) under master jockey B. Parfuty. The prizes were awarded by Ilsur Metshin.
The fastest time in Russia was shown by a Nurlaty stallion Quiet and Danger under jockey Sh. Khatkov, who won the "Towards the Universiade" prize.
The main award of the day’s racing - the President of Russia Prize – went to a bay stallion Korol’ (King). The First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Viktor Zubkov awarded the prize to master jockey
S. Kruglykhin, master trainer A. Lyakhov and the owner V. Yatskin.
