(KZN.RU,
October 24, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, instructed the
Committee of Economic Development together with the specialists of the Ministry
of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the RT, the Kazan employment
center and the prosecutor's office to work out a solution that stimulates
employers to apply vacancies on the Kazan employment service today at the
Business Monday.
Marat
Khairullin, the director of the Kazan Center of the population employment, said
that 17 thousand vacancies are in the data base for today. 4380 people were
registered as unemployed in the city on October 1, so there is one unemployed
for 3 free workplaces. However, the proposals with low salary (10-20 thousand
rubles) prevail among vacancies.
“We started
the year with the anxiety caused by the economic crisis, afraid of increasing
in the number of unemployed, but the statistics is that we have reduced the
number of unemployed as compared with the previous year. The labor market is
stable, but we still have work to do for improving of the situation on the
labor market”, said Ilsur Metshin.
One of the
questions that the Mayor had was: why only 2% of employers (and this is 1290
from 65 thousand economic subjects) applies their vacancies to the Kazan
employment service. According to Marat Khairullin, “others ignore the
requirements of the Federal Law “On employment of the population of the Russian
Federation”, which affects the completeness of the information about the state
of the labor market and job opportunities for unemployed citizens”.
According
to the Mayor, it is difficult to achieve 100 per cent in this matter, “there
are small enterprises, which today are opened and tomorrow are closed”;
however, it is necessary to study in detail the issue with the prosecutor's
office of the city. In this regard, Ilsur Metshin instructed to work out a
solution to this issue, discussed the subject together with the heads of
districts, the Committee for Economic Development, the prosecutor's office, the
Center for Employment of Kazan and specialists of the Ministry of Labor,
Employment and Social Protection. “The Center for Employment of the city is
working hard. We will take joint steps”, concluded the Mayor.
