Ildar Khalikov and Ilsur Metshin opened the new building of the branch of the University of Justice
(KZN.RU, October 17). The new building of the branch of the Russian State University of Justice has been opened in Kazan. Ildar Khalikov, the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Olga Alexandrova, the rector of the Russian State University of Justice, Andrei Pominov, the acting Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Theophanes, the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan, and others took part in the solemn event.
I. Khalikov noted that the institution demonstrated the highest level of quality for the 45-year period. According to the Prime Minister, this is confirmed by the demand for graduates in the law enforcement system and the Russian legal system. O. Alexandrova in her welcoming speech thanked Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, for his support. Metropolitan Theophane addressed to professors and teachers of the institute. He reminded that the teachers will form a moral responsibility in their students along with professionalism. “We hope that the more lawyers come out of the walls of the university, the less crimes we will have”, marked Metropolitan Theophane. After words of welcome, I. Khalikov and O. Alexandrova officially cut the red ribbon.
The rector said that the Kazan branch has existed for 15 years. “It takes a worthy place in the ranking of our branches, and we have 15 branches in total. There will be no cardinal changes with the move into the new building. We have a good base, faculty staff was formed”, said O. Alexandrova. The rector also said that the new teaching methods will be used. “Our University of Justice cooperates with many foreign universities. We will be holding international conference in Kazan, invite professors of European universities to give lectures”, she said.
The rector also noted that the building area is 4,000 thousand square meters, it has a modern dining room, assembly hall, where the map-case will be used for administration, medical office, and gyms. The building is equipped with the latest technology, according to the portal of the RT Government.
