I. Metshin took part in the meeting of the Commission for the coordination of anti-corruption
(KZN.RU, October 17). The meeting of the Commission for the coordination of anti-corruption in the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted by Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, was held in the representative house of the Kazan Kremlin. Mintimer Shaimiev, the Tatarstan State Counsellor, Ildar Khalikov, the Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin, the chairman of Tatarstan State Council, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, prosecutors, heads of ministries and departments took part in the work.
R. Minnikhanov noted that a lot of work on the issue of combating corruption in the domestic sphere was held for 2 years. “Adjustments to the regulations of the interaction of people and state authorities have been introduced. There are positive changes in the education system. A separate category of everyday corruption notifications is implemented and successfully operates in the electronic system “People's control”. This gives a positive effect”, said the President of Tatarstan.
R. Minnikhanov called the increase in the number of citizens’ appeals the reason to return to this issue. According to him, the level of everyday corruption in a total amount is 40% for the first 9 months of this year. The largest number of crimes falls on the health and social security. “The population is increasingly unhappy with the quality and availability of medical care. The average satisfaction in Tatarstan is 47%. This number has decreased three times in individual hospitals”, marked Rustam Minnikhanov.
“The population is tired of the constant extortion and injustice in the domestic sphere. It is unacceptable when there is a delay in the provision of municipal and public services. Also, the requirement of additional documents is illegal. Such violations were identified by prosecutors' offices in Naberezhnye Chelny and Arsky, Buinsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Drozhzhanovsky, Menzelinsky, Nurlatsky and Rybno-Slobodsky regions”, said Rustam Minnikhanov.
According to the Tatarstan President, the main task of the meeting is to search for the causes of corruption facts and to develop additional tools against these manifestations, reports the portal of the Tatarstan Government.
