I. Metshin: “You have become for us an example of steadfastness, compassion and positive attitude to life”

(KZN.RU, October 1). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, addressed to the elderly residents of the capital of Tatarstan on the International Day of Older Persons.

“Dear citizens of Kazan, the older generation!

We appeal to you - our parents, mentors, elders, and war and labor veterans – on the International Day of Older Persons with the words of sincere gratitude for the warmth and attention that you give to others throughout his life. You have become for us a real example of steadfastness, compassion and positive attitude to life, learnt us to cherish spiritual values and take responsibility for our affairs. Every day, you inspire us to do good deeds, and your lessons are the basis for the education of our children and grandchildren.

I would like to pay special tribute to our veterans, who have endured the difficulties of the war years, rebuilt the country and gave us a happy, prosperous life. We owe you all that we have. We bow to you all!
