Agriculture workers were congratulated on their professional holiday in Kazan

(KZN.RU, September 29). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, congratulated all farmers, agriculture workers with the Day of agriculture worker and processing industry. Mintimer Shaimiev, the State Counsellor of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, heads of ministries and departments, heads of municipalities and others took part in the festival.

The ceremony took place in the court of the GTRK “Korston” (Kazan), where the best workers, the most distinguished in the harvest in 2016, and in the processing of products, the production of food, and in other sectors of agriculture, was honored.

“There is a good tradition to gather in this hall village workers, advance workers, managers, as well as our partners, who promote and support the development of agriculture at the end of harvesting”, said Rustam Minnikhanov, opening the ceremony. “It is our oil workers, the company group “TAIF” because nothing can be done without fuel in the village, and it is also companies: suppliers of fertilizers, gas and energy resources. But the main are certainly those, who work in the fields, on farms, in other industries in agriculture areas”.

“Your work is needed and very important, because you are the basis of the republic”, said the President of Tatarstan, addressing to the agriculture workers. “We always say that the basis for any country is, above all, the village. It is not only food production, although it is one of the most important parts, for food safety is a “number one” matter. But, in addition, the village is the foundation for the preservation of traditions, culture, and language no matter what nationality we represent”. R. Minnikhanov expressed his sincere gratitude to the villagers for their work.

“Thank you all for your hard work”, he said. “We have gathered 4.35 million tons of grain, 2 million 100 thousand tons of sugar beet, 1 million 200 thousand tons of potatoes, almost 400 thousand tons of vegetables in such a difficult year: these are the results of work all of you, those who are present here today and those who are at their jobs. On behalf of the republic's leadership, I ask you to convey my sincere gratitude to your colleagues, your work collectives, because the village it is, above all, a unique production. Here in the city the whole team can go on vacation - for example, in a factory. But in a village this is the daily work, it is the care and attention every day, and we appreciate and understand it. Congratulations to all on the holiday!”.

R. Minnikhanov also reminded that farmers could celebrate the second holiday today: Marat Akhmetov, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the RT, remained at his post, abandoning the Russian State Duma deputy mandate from the party “United Russia”. The President once again expressed confidence in the fact that Marat Akhmetov will be useful for the industry, for the region, for further work on the development of agriculture here in the republic.

Festive concert with participation of creative collectives of the RT was organized for agriculture workers.

Rustam Minnikhanov also presented state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished workers of the agroindustrial complex, reports the Government Portal of the RT.
