Kazan residents will take part in the elections to the State Duma of the
Russian Federation and vote in favor of strong Russia and strong Tatarstan,
sure Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. The Mayor came with his wife and
daughter today to the polling station №270, located in the Russian-Tatar
secondary school №129 of the Privolzhsky district.
After the Mayor of
Kazan voted, he congratulated the citizens on the holiday. “Elections to the
State Duma is important day, we choose our future. What it will be depends on
Kazan residents and their activity, how many residents will come and vote in
favor of a strong Russia”, said Ilsur Metshin. “It is our civic duty and our
citizenship. We need a strong team in the State Duma, strong Russia, strong
Tatarstan, and pretty and wealthy Kazan”.
The inhabitants
of the village of Petrovsky, where the polling station is located, actively go
to the polls since the morning. About 100 people vote in the two hours work of
the site. More than 1,200 voters are expected here until 8 pm.
All voted,
including Ilsur Metshin and his family, received bracelets “Ya progolosoval!”.
This year, the Kazan City Hall continued the good tradition and organized a big
celebration for citizens on the Election Day. Bracelets “Ya progolosoval!” today
provide free public transport Kazan, free access to museums, the Dinosaur Park,
and the celebratory program at the stadium “Kazan Arena”. The bracelet gives
all sorts of bonuses and discounts in shops and petrol stations.
The festive program started
at 11 o'clock in the stadium “Kazan Arena”. Work of different platforms is
organized here: Kazan citizens can pass GTO standards, take part in dance master
classes, watch the performance of the street theater “Kulturny Sdvig” and participate
in the creative meeting with a Russian actor Veniamin Smehov. The big concert
program with participation of the best creative collectives in Tatarstan will
start at 16.00, Sergey Lazarev and Igor Nikolaev will be headlining the
festival.
