I. Metshin: “Let the school year will be filled with happy emotions and new knowledge”

(KZN.RU, 1 September). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, has congratulated the pupils and students, their parents and teachers on the Knowledge Day.

“Dear teachers, dear pupils, students and parents!

I heartily congratulate you on the Knowledge Day and the beginning of the school year!

The first of September is a special celebration that opens a new page both to students and pupils. School and college years are probably one of the most important periods in human life, dedicated to the acquisition of knowledge, where the basis is laid for the future. We find our first friends at this time, meet wise mentors, learn and gain valuable experience for future life.

The Knowledge Day is the most long-awaited and exciting for those who are just preparing for the school bench - the first-graders, for which the first bell will sound today. More than 14 thousand of yesterday preschoolers will sit at their desks for the first time this year. Let the school years will be happy for them, full of vivid emotions, new meetings and, of course, interesting lessons.

What memories will stay with pupils and students about this time is largely depends on teachers who work tirelessly, putting knowledge to heads of the younger generation. Thanks to the efforts of teachers in schools and universities the Kazan youth not only are the winners of various competitions and contests, demonstrating the high level of training, but they also learn to be kind, honest and fair.
