Honorary citizens of the Kazan were honored in the Kazan City Hall

(KZN.RU, August 30, Alsu Safina). The solemn meeting, devoted to the Day of the Republic and the City Day, was held in the Kazan City Hall today. Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, presented the city and national awards to people who have made a significant contribution to the development and prosperity of the capital of Tatarstan. The event was attended by deputies of the Kazan City Duma, heads of district administrations, heads of departments of the Executive Committee and special guests.

Opening the event, the Mayor of Kazan said that guests of the solemn meeting were people who earned the respect by their work and made a significant contribution to the development of the city.

“There is a significant achievement of all who are in this room in all accomplishments that have occurred in recent years: honorary citizen of Kazan, heads of enterprises, institutions and organizations, current and former heads of city structures and active Kazan citizens”, said the Mayor.

He reminded that 1011 the year of birth of the republic's capital is celebrated today, and paid attention to what was done in Kazan last year. The main program of 12 development priorities adopted for the next five years, aimed at the Kazan to become one the most pleasant and comfortable cities of Russia. For now works on a new strategy until 2030 are carried out.

The birth record was established - 24 thousand children were born in 2015, and in the first 8 months of this year - more than 16 thousand. Over the past two years, 23 municipal kindergartens were built and two private ones were opened, new neighborhoods appeared, such as the “Salavat Copere” and the “Solnechy Gorod”. 800 thousand square meters of housing will be put into this year.

Ilsur Metshin also noted that the question of the construction of a new metro line, linking the Privolzhskiy, Sovetskiy and Novo-Savinovskiy districts, solved, 33 recreation areas renovated, a project on improvement of the Gorkinsko-Ometevskiy forest started, the reconstruction of the park “Chernoe Ozero” began, work on the banks of the Volga and Kazanka Rivers and the Kaban Lake are conducting within the framework of the Year of water protection zones, recreational areas on Lake Lebyazhye is renewing, the reconstruction of the Kazan zoo is carrying. More than 3.6 million tourists visited Kazan during the 2015-2016 years.

According to I. Metshin, the leadership of the republic and Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, assist in solving problems.

“I am confident that due to the selfless work of Kazan residents, we can make our city even more comfortable”, said the Mayor of the city. “We appreciate the work of each citizen, each collective and are grateful to everyone who has spared no effort making its contribution to the prosperity of our beloved city”.

Republican and municipal awards were presented after that.

The title of honorary citizen of Kazan was awarded to Marat Rakhimov, the general director of OAO “Kazmetrostroy”, and Indus Tagirov, the acting member of the Academy of Sciences. Victor Loshadkin, a veteran of the Kazan plant “Elektropribor”, Minnehanif Nizamov, the teacher of an additional education of secondary school №114 in Kazan Privolzhskiy district, AO “Kazan Giproniiaviaprom”, AO “KMPO” and AO “Radiopribor” made in the Book of Honor of Kazan.

Ilsur Metshin also presented national and municipal awards. The medal “For merits in development of local self-government in the Republic of Tatarstan” was awarded Elena Sotova, the organizational management specialist of the Office of the Executive Committee of Kazan. The honorary title “Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan” was given Lilia Politova, a ballet dancer of the dance ensemble of the Kazan City Philharmonic National Cultural Center “Kazan”; “Honored Worker of the Republic of Tatarstan Housing” to the Faniya Galimova, a janitor of Housing “Uytny dom”; “Honored Worker of Culture” to Vladimir Kislitsin, a teacher in the Kazan musical college named after I. Auhadeev; “Honored worker of physical culture of the RT” to Ludmila Osipova, a teacher of an additional education center of children's creativity “Tankodrom” of the Sovetskiy district in Kazan, and Rimma Hesina, a basketball coach in Sport school of the Vakhitovsky district in Kazan; “Honoured teacher of the RT” to Rashid Valiev, a methodologist of the City center of creative development and humanitarian education for gifted children of Kazan.

Gratitude of President of the RT was declared to Albert Mukhametshin, the director of MTE №2, and Oscar Prokopiev, the Vice-President of the Commercial Bank for Economic Development “Bank of Kazan”. Ruziya Motigullina, a recuperator of KMPO polishing wheels, and Ilshat Shamsutdinov, the head of the central design bureau of “Radiopribor”, were marked with insignia “For Meritorious Service”.

Diploma of Kazan were given to Radif Galimzyanov, a bus driver of MTE №2, Konstantin Zolotenin, the head of ENT department and otolaryngologist of the City Clinical Hospital №16 in Kazan, German Kotelnikov, the deputy head of the department of the final assembly of the Kazan aircraft plant named after S. Gorbunov - the branch of PAO “Tupolev”, and Rushaniya Pankova, the chief engineer of the Water and Sewerage Institute “Kazgrazhdanproekt”.

Gratitude of the Mayor of Kazan was declared to Dmitry Vandyukov, the deputy general director of PAO “Tattelecom” and the head of the Kazan manage electric grids, Ilsur Akhmetzyanov, the chairman of TSG “Novo-Karavaevo”, Alexander Monakhov, TSG “Davlikeevo”, Salih Hafizov, TSG “Novaya Sosnovka” Ruslan Shtinnikov, TSG “Karavaevo”, and Albina Shtinnikova, TSG “Suhaya Reka”.
