I. Metshin visited the boat trip on a "Zilant" at Kazanka River

(Kazan City KZN.RU, July 1). Season of water excursions at the Kazanka River is officially opened today in the capital of Tatarstan. Walks are carried out on catamarans, boats. But the main highlight of the waters of the river has become a wooden boat with a figure of Zilant on the rostrum. Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin became one of the first tourists at a sailing trip. Here the Mayor discussed prospects of development of the tourism industry with representatives of this business.

Recall, Kaban lake was included in water excursions last year. For the year more than 60 thousand citizens of Kazan and guests used the services. As tours organizer Natalya Vohmintseva noted in an interview with the Mayor, "these figures exceeded all expectations". This year the geography of water trips has expanded, and now rest on the water is available at Kazanka. The tour starts from the family center "Kazan". Ilsur Metshin thanked the organizers for the initiative. "It is good, that you come to an unfilled niche with your own ideas. Any water activity adorns the city and make tourists happy", - the head of the city said.

Visitors are invited to hire the traditional boats and catamarans. Among them a wooden boat with a sail and the figure of Zilant on the rostrum stands out. The boat is made in Karelia with the old technology, implying special stability. As Natalia Vohmintseva told, the mythical snake was cut to fit the ship organically into the style specified by the author of the building of family center “Kazan” and the sculpture "He and She" Dashi Namdakov. Subsequently organizers of water excursions plan to make a similar boat with a figure of a snow leopard.

N.Vohmintseva told I. Metshin that special audio for 45 minutes, telling about the history of Kazan, is prepared to accompany the tour. Tours in the Tatar and English languages are also being prepared. The Mayor asked about security. The organizer said that a life vest is given on to the passengers on the bank. In addition, in case of cold weather there is a warm blanket in the boat.

"People vote with their visit. The fact that more than 60 thousand people have visited your service, says a lot,"- the Mayor said.

The tour was also attended by Deputy Head of Kazan Eugeniya Lodvigova, acting Director of the Tourism Promotion Committee Daria Sannikova, Chief of the registrar office Guzel Gabbasova and others.
