The festival "Blooming Kazan-2016" gathered 23 companies from different Russian cities

The most beautiful and bright city festival - "Blooming Kazan-2016" was opened in the capital of Tatarstan on the square in front of the dolls theater "Ekiyat". It gathered 23 organizations that are engaged in landscape design. This year the list of participants was filled with new cities - firms from Moscow, Togliatti and Samara presented their unusual flower compositions. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in the opening of the festival; he helped the young residents of Kazan to make the city more beautiful and planted flower bushes with them.

The festival was opened with the tune "Waltz of the Flowers" from the ballet "The Nutcracker". Local creative groups, singers, dancers and actors performed for the participants. Mayor welcomed residents and guests and congratulated them on the opening of the festival, recalling that last year it was visited by more than 200 thousand people in a total. Taking into account that this year the number of companies that have presented their floral designs to citizens rose from 14 to 23, it is expected even more guests at the festival. The Mayor noted that holding the festival "Blooming Kazan" has already become a good tradition. "We support the initiative of our companies that are engaged in landscape design, floral design and are responsible for the improvement of the city for the second year. I would like to thank everyone who has shown their skill and talent, love and respect for the city and its residents today, - I. Metshin said. - I am glad that the geography of the festival is expanding - the participants came from outside Kazan and Tatarstan, we are grateful for that".

Deputy Head of Kazan Executive Committee - Chairman of the Committee of improvements Igor Kulyazhev told the Mayor that in addition to the exhibition itself floral projects, educational seminars and coaching for young designers will be held at the site. The festival will not only be a kind of a platform to exchange ideas and experiences in the field of floral compositions, participants will also be able to find new partners.

The Mayor also took part in the festival; he planted several beds of flower bushes along with the small Kazan residents. The children told the head of the city how they love flowers, recited poems and made memorable photos. Then I. Metshin looked at presented compositions and talked to designers, business leaders, who came to show their ideas and innovations. They are a lot this year - on the site of the festival playgrounds, hammocks were established, huge cushion on to lie down was spread on the green lawn, new art objects in the form of butterflies with light effects, umbrellas, misting system, awnings and more were set for the residents.

"We set ourselves the task: to make Kazan the most comfortable, well-improved and cozy city in the Russian Federation. Our children are the most important flowers, we work for them to live in the most beautiful city in the country", - I. Metshin said.

The participation in the festival "Blooming Kazan" for firms that specialize in landscape design is free. Citizens can enjoy the floral compositions that have been developed by designers-contestants all summer - until September the city authorities will take care about compositions. By the way, almost all the plants shown on the site are perennial, so after the completion of the festival they will be planted in other areas. For example, in the past year flowers, shrubs and trees remaining after the festival decorated gardens of kindergartens for Kazan children.

The opening ceremony was also attended by the heads of district administrations, manager of MUE "Trust" Gorvodzelenhoz" Rosa Zabbarova and others.

Recall, the festival "Blooming Kazan" was opened under a homonymous project, which started two years ago on the initiative of the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin to involve people in the process of improvement and landscaping of the city. The winners who will be awarded with prizes will be selected among the firms - members of the festival, the remaining participants will receive letters of thanks. Also a contest for the best flower decoration of the facade or territory is held in the frames of the project "Blooming Kazan", which residents may join. Those wishing to take part in it must equip and decorate the territory of their home or business and send pictures of a facility with the application via the website. Winners will be determined by the results of the national Internet voting in the fall, and the authors of the best works will be awarded with valuable prizes and gifts.
