Sculpture composition of leopards and zilants "He and She" was opened in Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 26 June). Sculpture "He and She", consisting of families of snow leopards and dragons-zilants was opened at the site near the family center "Kazan". The opening ceremony was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and the author, famous sculptor Dashi Namdakov.

Honorary guests congratulated Kazan residents with the opening of the sculpture, which creates a single complex on the waterfront of the river Kazanka together with the family centre "Kazan". Rustam Minnikhanov noted that the composition will decorate the capital of Tatarstan. "We continue to maintain and strengthen our family values. And the complex will serve it", - the head of the republic said and wished family happiness to all residents.

Kazan Mayor reminded the audience that family center "Kazan", the author of which also Dashi Namdakov was, has registered more than 14,5 thousand marriages and said that the “Bowl” has become a new symbol of the capital of Tatarstan. Ilsur Metshin thanked Rustam Minnikhanov and Dashi Namdakov for the idea and its implementation, and stressed that love and family happiness are the most important things in the world. "Kazan is one big family. And let these sculptures, snow leopards and zilants symbolize love and family - the most important value on earth,"- the Mayor said.

In turn, Dashi Namdakov thanked the leadership of the city and the republic for the trust. "I hope my "children" will take root in Kazan and will bring a lot of positive emotions to Kazan citizens and guests of the city", - the author of the project said.

The sculpture composition consists of four pieces - two snow leopards (a symbol of Tatarstan) and two zilants (Kazan symbols). According to the author, sculptures symbolize masculine and feminine basis and designed to protect couples from adversity.

After the ceremony the head of the republic and the city examined each of the sculptures and photographed on a background of leopards and zilants. The opening ceremony was also attended by Chief of Staff of Tatarstan President Asgat Safarov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin, head of Kazan Executive Committee Denis Kalinkin, deputy head of the Executive Committee - Chairman of the Committee of improvements Igor Kulyazhev, the chief architect of Kazan Tatiana Prokofieva, head of the city Registry Office Guzel Gabbasova and others.
