(Kazan City KZN.RU, June 8, Ekaterina Andreeva). Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin congratulated the residents of the city with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid for Muslims.
The head of the city has now become the guest of the program "Theme" on TV "EtherI. Its host Alexey Kuleshov asked whether Mayor keeps traditional fast, and how hard it is. The Mayor said that keeps Uraza more than 20 years, and said with a smile, that does not feel the severity. "This is a good month. Because your efficiency increases, you have good thoughts and spirit, you love everyone and everything, not distracted by minor. You clearly separate light and dark", - the head of the city said.
"I want to congratulate all with this wonderful holy month. I wish all of us - and our Orthodox brothers too, and all the residents of Kazan for the blue peaceful sky was above us, that peace was in our heart, in the soul, so that love reigned in every family, that we would live in the best city, in the best republic, in the best country. We have everything for this, let's work on it", - I. Metshin said.
Recall that in the holy month of Ramadan the opportunity to fulfill one of the five obligatory pillars of Islam - Eid (fasting) is given to all Muslims. Since the dawn on June 6 Muslims abstain from many benefits, following the precepts of Allah and the Prophet Muhammad. Fasting will be completed with the holiday Eid al-Fitr, which will be celebrated on 5 July.
