May 9 Kazan will join the action "Immortal regiment"

(Kazan City KZN.RU, April 28, Irina Smirnova). Kazan is preparing to celebrate Victory Day. The city prepared an extensive program of events, the main and most honorable guests of which veterans of the Great Patriotic War have to become. On the eve of one of the most important holidays of the country the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin expressed his gratitude in the "Theme" program on TV "Ether".

"We always prepare this feast in awe, love and great respect. At present, 18,390 veterans live in Kazan, and we value each of them, we want to surround everyone with care, warmth, love, respect and gratitude", - I. Metshin said.

The Mayor noted that the holidays will be organized in neighborhoods, schools, businesses, parks and squares. The main actions on May 9 will take place in Liberty Square, Victory Park and near the stadium "Kazan Arena". Solemn action "Immortal regiment" will also wait for Kazan residents. The total gathering is appointed at 14.00 in front of the NCC "Kazan", the route will pass to May 1 Square.

"Victory Day is an occasion to recall the great feat once again, a feat of our country, the Soviet people. I hope that this festival will bring joy and spring, and that the eyes of our esteemed veterans will fill with tears of joy once again, looking at their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and on what a city, republic, country we  due to their heroism"- Ilsur Metshin said.

On the eve of May 9 Mayor addressed with words of congratulations to the war veterans. "Your feat, your life is an example for us. We honor, cherish and are proud of you. Let peaceful, clear, blue sky always be over our city, of our republic, over our country. I wish you health and everything the best"- Mayor of Kazan appealed to viewers.
