Sergei Sobyanin and Andrei Vorobyov arrived in Kazan
(Kazan City KZN.RU, April 22). Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov arrived in Kazan on an official visit. At the Kazan airport honorary guests were met by the Mayor Ilsur Metshin and First Deputy Head of the municipal formation of Kazan Rustam Nigmatullin.
During their visit to the capital of Tatarstan, Sergey Sobyanin and Andrei Vorobyov will take part in a meeting of the Presidential Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, as well as visit a number of infrastructure facilities of the city.
Also today visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected, who will chair the meeting. In the discussion the issues of development of Russian hockey, the World Hockey Championship in 2016 held in Moscow and the preparation of the national team for the Winter Olympic Games 2018 in PyeongChang (Republic of Korea) will be. The meeting will be attended by leaders of the Russian Hockey Federation, members of the Government, heads of regions, as well as representatives of the business community. It should be noted that the meeting of the Presidential Physical Culture and Sport Council is held in Tatastan's capital for the third time.
On the same day Russian President will visit the opening ceremony of the European Championship in judo. In the competition, held from 21 to 24 April in Kazan, 477 athletes from 46 countries will take part.
