I. Metshin: "We need to preserve the availability of summer holidays for children from large and poor families"

The first change in the health camps will start on 2 June. The Chairman of the Committee for Children and Youth of the Executive Committee of the city Sergei Mironov reported on the preparations for the summer recreation campaign today at the Business Monday in the City Hall of Kazan.

Chairman of the Committee said that this year the functions of the organization of holidays for children from low-income families, students of special organizations for minors, children from families at social risk transferred to the municipality. "This is responsible work that requires serious preparation," - said Mironov.

Mayor of Kazan Ilur Metshin noted that this innovation imposes a heavy responsibility on the municipality. "It is important to choose the counselors, teachers who are ready for this work, so that children feel on a par with all the rest", - the head of the city stressed, adding that it is necessary to maintain the availability of summer holidays for children, especially those from large and poor families.

According to Mironov, three areas in preparation for the summer campaign highlighted: improving the quality of children living in the camps and security, the implementation of interesting programs, as well as openness and accessibility of services for different groups of population of the city. At present health institutions are actively preparing for the opening. According to Sergei Mironov, much attention will be paid to catering, observance of sanitary-epidemiological regime, staffing, as well as the protection of the camps. According to the Chairman of the Committee, patrolling of camps Department of Internal Affairs staff will carry out, and protection of the camps - private security companies.

Program of rest will also be updated. "The municipal summer camps focus on a combination of profile changes and educational program with recreation. The program of last year was analyzed, the experience of other megacities studied, views of parents and children were taken into account. New shifts were based on a compilation”, - chairman of the committee said. The first change in the health camps starts on June 2, and selling of trips to the municipal camps will start from 16 May. At the same time about 80% of trips are already pre-reserved by parents and representatives of various companies and organizations, Mironov said.

"We are not just kept the camp base, but were able to strengthen the material-technical base thanks to the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan," - the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin said. He also drew attention to the fact that every year there are creative ideas for the development of recreation system: profile shifts, school of counselors. This, according to the Mayor, speaks about the work of the system units and striving to find new ways of working.
