In Kazan patching of roads is made in the territory of 14 thousand sq. m

(Kazan City KZN.RU, 5 April). Road services Kazan started patching in late February through, which resulted that 14 thousand sq. meters of road were put in order. This was announced today at the Business Monday by Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the external improvement Committee Eduard Vafin. "Today the work on streets such as Gorky highway, the bridge “Millennium”, Gabishev, Korolenko, Vosstaniya, Kasimov Brothers, Mir, Kopylov, Technicheskaya performed," - he said.

Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin instructed to perform all road works planned for this year qualitively and timely. The Mayor added that the funds for road repairs on school bus routes will be provided at the request of the President of RT. For these purposes from the republican budget allocation of 290 million rubles is planned -134 thousand square meters of road surface will be repaired. School routes include streets M. Gafuri, Magistralnaya, Halezov, Chemical, Staratelny and others.

"Last year, thanks to the support of the President Rustam Minnikhanov, we have received unprecedented support - 3 billion rubles, thus able to perform all the necessary work on the repair of roads in time, - I. Metshin said. - Now the President has supported our initiative for road repairs on school routes. This year one billion rubles allocated from the state budget, so it is important to use it effectively, selecting those areas that require the most intervention".

According E.Vafin, when selecting areas that are most in need of repair, road services take into account the responses of citizens, received both through the "People's control" system as well as through other services. In particular, citizens’ responses have a weight when choosing a road on which it is planned to carry out patching.

In 2016 the city will continue to build roads in the settlements. In total, according E.Vafin, it is planned to repair 51 roads in 24 settlements with a total area 137 thousands sq. meters. The list of objects includes streets, where the coating is completely absent.

More than 150 thousand square meters of roadway will be repaired in the city.

Summing up the work of road services last winter, E.Vafin reported that the number of citizens’ complaints about poor-quality snow removal on Kazan roads has decreased in comparison with the previous year. "During the winter 650 tons of snow were taken from city streets. It is about 130 thousand trucks. Over 50% of exported snow was melted in snow melting points. There were less complaints from residents about the work of road services compared to last season. All complaints regarding the state of the roads, sent to contractors, were eliminated in the shortest possible time", - E.Vafin said.

I. Metshin noted that the work on the maintenance of yards and driveways this year really caused less negative feedback from the citizens, but still needs to be improved. The Mayor instructed to begin preparation for the new winter season in advance. "We did not allow any special collapses to take place in the snow season. But we will prepare for the next season since summer to be fully prepared to meet the new period of the winter maintenance of our roads", - Mayor said.
