Construction of new schools in Kazan will be continued
(Kazan City KZN.RU, March 2, Ekaterina Andreeva). In the capital of Tatarstan, in spite of the difficult economic situation, the construction of new schools will be continued. The Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, who was the guest of the program "Theme" on TV "Efir", assured the residents in this.
One of the residents of the city asked the question of the construction of new schools, she noted that the birth rate is increasing in Kazan, kindergartens are being built, and new neighborhoods grow. "While we successfully solve the problem of shortage of places in kindergartens, children grow up; we do not have enough schools. Will you build them?"- she asked.
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin briefly replied: "Yes. We will build". He reminded that in Tatarstan capital in the past year two schools were put in operation. One of them, city school №179, the biggest in the republic, was opened on September 1 in New Savinovsky district. "According to the program of liquidation of dilapidated housing blocks are grown large, and residents has long been waiting for the school" - the head of the city recalled.
Today, as I. Metshin recalled, the capital of Tatarstan in dire need of 15 schools in the most densely populated parts of the city. "A number of districts actually "burn in red", - the Mayor stressed the seriousness of the problem.
He added that currently 60 schools from 168 in Kazan are working in two shifts, with overload. That is, every tenth student of Kazan attends classes in the second shift. The Mayor reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin set the task - to translate all schools in the country to study in one shift. The federal program with a budget of 50 billion rubles was approved for this. Kazan is ready to build new schools, projects of buildings of educational institutions exist, the Mayor of Kazan said.
It is worth adding that last year the number of students in Kazan grew by 3.4 thousand. In the new academic year another 4.5 thousand people will be added to the students. Over 14 thousand first-graders will sit at the desks. It is estimated that by 2019 contingent of students will increase by 16851 persons.
