"Today,
March 2, honorary citizen of Kazan Asgat Galimzyanovich Galimzyanov would be 80
years old. Throughout his life, he was helping people; he was a benefactor by
his big heart. Simple carrier at farmers market of Kazan, who came from a
peasant family, Asgat Galimzyanovich taught all of us a great lesson that good
deeds always have place in life. A simple sincere smile, a sign of attention
from an unknown passer-by can warm the soul and to encourage more than anything
else. When indifference becomes the sense of all life, man changes the world
around them, as Asgat Galimzyanovich Galimzyanov did, affecting fate of
hundreds of people.
As Mintimer
Shaimiev rightly said about him: "He was a man of unparalleled generosity.
His kindness had no limit". The entire Soviet Union known about Kazan
philanthropist on television and radio broadcasts. Recognition, respect and
many thanks from people came to Asgat Galimzyanovich in his life.
Kazan will
always cherish the memory of its great citizen, who has lived a life full of
good deeds. In the center of the city a monument to the benefactor with face of
Asgata Galimzyanovich has been erected. This year at the suggestion of Kazan citizens
one of the streets of our city will receive the name of Asgat Galimzyanov. And
his example, I believe, will inspire us to do good deeds and charity towards
each other again and again.
The bright
memory befits to the great people lover and the teacher of kindness. He will
always live in our hearts."
