(Kazan City
KZN.RU, January 28, Ksenia Shvetsova). After renovation of five Kazan youth
clubs number of students in them increased by 40% - from 1,700 to 2,830. Made repairs
provide economic benefit - utilities decreased there by 30%, that was reported to
the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin by the chairman of the Committee on Children
and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of the city Sergei Mironov as part
of the report on the results of 2015.
Recall, the
past year funds in the amount of 38 million rubles were allocated for the first
time from the state budget for the repair of youth clubs. This allowed not only
to repair the premises, but also to build a sports and playgrounds, as well as
purchase of new equipment.
In addition
to traditional artistic and sports sections, new directions began to develop in
youth clubs, which are in great demand among the citizens of Kazan. For
example, school of early development, training in intellectual sports,
journalistic direction and modern sports were the most popular.
Additional paid
sections are developing on the extra-budgetary funds. Due to this the youth
clubs have additional new sources of income. If in 2012 this sum of all the
clubs was 1 million rubles, then the last year the figure rose to 4 million rubles.
Mayor Ilsur Metshin, in turn, noted that the development of paid areas is a
useful work, earned money may be directed to repair and upgrade of the
equipment, but the main part of groups in youth clubs should be free. "Different
children are engaged in youth clubs, including those from low-income families.
Therefore, at least 70% of all directions in them must be free. We must not
allow that youth clubs have turned into commercial shops,"- said I. Metshin.
As Mironov told,
this year youth club "Lemonade" on the Latvian Riflemen Street will
be renovated and opened, for these purposes 13.8 million rubles were allocated from
the state budget.
63 urban
youth clubs are visited by more than 14 thousand children of Kazan.
