Final games of the urban stage of the tournament "Golden Puck" started in Kazan
(Kazan City KZN.RU, January 26, Anton Nozdrin). The final stage of the City game of All-Russian competition of young hockey players on the club prize "Golden Puck" named after A.V.Tarasov started today in Kazan. The Mayor of the capital of Tatarstan Ilsur Metshin congratulated young hockey players with the beginning of the competition, the opening ceremony of which was held on the ice arena "Golden Puck".
"I wish you the heart game. I wish that you would love this sport, which tempers the spirit, character and ability to win,"- the Mayor appealed to athletes. The Mayor thanked the coaching staff for the love to children and work on growing of professional players.
More than 100 school teams have declared at the tournament "Golden Puck", 24 of which reached the final stage - winners of district stages in their age categories (born in 2005-2006, born in 2003-2004, born in 2001-2002). Participants will play in groups, the results of which will reveal the current finalists in each age group. These teams will participate in the republican tournament "Golden Puck", which will be held in Mamadysh, Chistopol and Zainsk.
Coach of the team "Torch" of the Sovietsky district of Kazan Yury Komarov said that such tournaments are very important. "Children from almost all over the district come to our hockey box - said the coach. - The boys play sports, develop physically. And parents always know where to find their children". According Yu.Komarov, about 60 children of different ages are at his team at the moment. "Adults also come to us. In the evening they are actively involved in helping to prepare the box, fill it with the ice. We attract children to the filling also, "- said the coach.
Along with the Mayor President of Hockey Federation of Kazan Andrei Ryabov, an adviser to the director of athletic performance of HC "Ak Bars", Master of Sports, Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports Ravil Shavaleev, heads of district administrations of Kazan and hockey player of "Ak Bars" Albert Yarullin hailed finalists.
