Since 2013 43 green recreation areas were landscaped in Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, January 26, Zilya Gayfi). In 2015, the Year of parks and gardens as it was announced by the President of Tatarstan, an unprecedented amount of work on improvement of urban recreation areas was made in Kazan. Throughout the year, the construction and restoration works were carried out on 28 sites. Deputy Head of the Executive Committee – Chairman of Department of external accomplishment Igor Kulyazhev reported on the results of work to Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin today at the final meeting.

In the Year of parks and gardens boards of trustees of 25 parks and gardens, which included philanthropists and responsible enterprises, were established in Kazan. The improvement program included 28 urban recreation areas, for the reconstruction of which 310 million rubles has been allocated from the national budget. As noted by Igor Kulyazhev, year-end funding of the program was almost tripled - the total amount invested in the improvement of green areas and equipment amounted to 900 million rubles.

According to Igor Kulyazhev, starting 2013 in Kazan 43 urban areas were landscaped worth more than 1.5 billion rubles. "Last year more than 2 square meters of injury prevention coating were laid, 1 new fountain was set and 7 were renovated, 10 km of irrigation systems of green spaces were renovated, 45 monuments and bas-reliefs were restored, 20 square meters of road surface, 900 lamps, 6000 meters of fences, 2 thousand small architectural forms have been replaced, three areas for dog walking were organized", - the committee chairman reported on the types of work.

The most striking event of the year of parks and gardens in Kazan was the opening of the Victory Park, Lyadsky garden and "Pine Grove" park after reconstruction, the completion of the first phase of reconstruction of the park "Wings of the Soviets", the opening of the children's park "Continent" and many small green areas for rest of the residents. Igor Kulyazhev assured that the program of improvement of urban parks and gardens will be continued in 2016.

The workshop was attended by the Head of the Executive Committee Denis Kalinkin, deputy head of the municipality of Kazan Rustam Nigmatullin, head of stuff Igor Sivov, Head of Financial Management Radik Shafigullin, director of MSD "Directorate for Competition Policy and Procurement of Kazan" Gregory Kharitonov and heads of administrations of all districts of the city.
