Ilsur Metshin: "It has been done impressively a lot over the past year"

The heads of the district administrations of the city reported first on the outcome of 2015. As Mayor Ilsur Metshin noted at today's Business Monday, it has been made an impressive lot over the past year. He stressed the importance of maintaining the momentum gained in the current year and called to plan the activities of all departments very carefully, considering the difficult economic situation.

The largely demographic situation requires keeping the pace of work - for example, the construction of kindergartens and schools will be one of the most important tasks, as the growth of the population of Kazan provides a constant demand for these social sites. The success of last year in this area is evident - so only in the Sovietsky district 9 kindergartens were built. "However, now kindergartens operate with a load of 130%. Workload of schools is also high in the capital. This, of course, pleases because of a large number of children, but at the same time, imposes the responsibility on us - said I. Metshin. - According to the construction of schools a federal program was adopted, so this year we can move forward on this issue".

In each district over the past year we managed to significantly improve the living conditions in the settlements: to repair and build new roads, install lighting, to make parks tidy. This work will be a priority this year.

This much has been done with the help of citizens who turned attention of the city authorities to the problem areas, and because of the business community, which has taken an active part in the work.
