Denis Kalinkin is re-elected as the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan

(Kazan City KZN.RU, January 21). Denis Kalinkin was re-elected as head of the Executive Committee of Kazan. This decision was adopted by deputies today at the IV session of the Kazan City Duma.

Among the three candidates put for discussion, the deputies considered the candidacy of Denis Kalinkin, who successfully performed the duties of head of the Executive Committee of Kazan within two years, the most appropriate.

Recall, the term of the contract with the current head of the Executive Committee Denis Kalinkin expires on January 25, in connection with it December 18 Kazan City Duma announced a contest for the vacant position and approved the terms of the contest. Media reported about the open competition.

The contest for the position of head of the Executive Committee of Kazan was attended by 6 candidates. According to the decision of the competition commission, which met in the morning on January 21, three candidates were nominated for consideration of IV session: the head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Denis Kalinkin, Kazan City Duma deputie Rushaniya Bilgildeeva and Azat Islaev.

Head of the Executive Committee is appointed by deputies of the City Duma in a session in accordance with the Federal Law "On General Principles of Local Self-Government in the Russian Federation", Law of the Republic of Tatarstan "On Local Self-Government in the Republic of Tatarstan", the Charter of the city of Kazan, the tender procedure for filling the post of head of the Executive Committee of Kazan.

Deputies heard a presentation of each candidate and asked questions. Challengers shared their experiences, achievements, competencies and plans for the improvement and development of the city. In particular, Rushaniya Bilgildeeva noted the need to continue to improve the investment attractiveness of the city. Ecology, safety, innovation in housing are priorities of the candidate for city manager of Kazan.

Azat Islaev urged to raise awareness of Kazan residents in the housing sector, to intensify efforts to move people from emergency housing and reduce the queue in kindergartens, to develop the transport infrastructure of the city.

Denis Kalinkin in his speech briefly reported on the outcome of the last 2 years. "We were able to achieve good results in the social sphere. In just 2 years 52 kindergartens and 2 schools were built, in parallel overhaul of institutions was conducted. We crossed a kind of Rubicon repairing half of houses older than 20 years. Program of overhaul not only of houses but also of households is on go. For 2 years 440 houses were repaired, which are home to 166,000 residents. More than 6 thousand parking spaces appeared in the yards. I express my gratitude to the management companies, which are consider possible to establish children's playgrounds", - said the head of the Executive Committee.

Denis Kalinkin named continuation of the program of resettlement of citizens from emergency housing as the most important task for the future - 90 houses are left to resettle in Kazan. The Executive Committee will also work hard on reducing the debt of residents for utility services - the population owed more than 2 billion rubles to the city budget.

The construction of sewer pump station "Zarechie", the commissioning of the landfill "Eastern", construction of the areas "Salavat Cuperu" and "M-14", the further development of the service "Open Kazan" are important projects for the future. Also in 2016 the Kazan park of electric transports waits for update: it is planned to buy 40 new trolley buses and 10 new trams. In general, as noted by Denis Kalinkin, every effort will be made to city of Kazan became the most comfortable in Russia.

As a result of open voting, the candidacy of Dennis Kalinkin was supported by majority of present deputies. Ilsur Metshin signed the contract with the new head of the Executive Committee of Kazan and wished him success.
