KZN.RU, October 23, Ksenia Shvetsova). In the Moskovsky district of Kazan a
program for separate waste collection launched as an experiment. Total 10
containers were set which allow dispose the waste environmentally. On the
savings from the separate waste collection the management company builds playgrounds
in the yards. Mayor Ilsur Metshin praised the results of the program.
I. Metshin
supported the initiative of the management company of the Moskovsky district,
which has proposed separate collection. In order to whet the interest of the
citizens to this, they were offered a mutually beneficial cooperation: yards will
be arranged for the citizens by means saved from separate waste collection.
“In the
next three months we want to work on the experimental areas, and then to go to
the people in other households with proposals,” - says the head of the
administration of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts Damir Fattakhov. – “It
is beneficial not only for residents but also for the management company, which
can save on reducing the volume of waste exported”.
According
to the director of the management company of the Moskovsky district Oleg
Kalimov, they already have managed to save about 60 thousand rubles at the separate
waste collection, plus the assorted debris was deposited for recycling, and another
70 thousand rubles were earned from this. With these funds the management
company has already acquired swings for children's playgrounds.
Such
mutually beneficial cooperation, according to experts, will encourage other
residents to join the program. Those wishing to participate in separate waste
collection may simply refer to their management company with an application.
Also special
equipment, which was bought for cleaning streets in the Moskovsky district, was
showed to the Mayor. As Oleg Kalimov told, it is a multifunction machine that
can work at any time of the year: in summer it removes dust and waters the
flowerbeds, and in winter it cleans snow, and due to its compact size can clean
not only the roadway, but also a sidewalk. One such machine replaces 30 yardmen. In the future, the
management company plans to continue the purchase of specialized equipment.
